I figure that land acceleration is important to get out the big creatures as soon as possible and there are some spells in there to stall like lightning bolt if I can't play early on in the game. Elvish Piper is there to bring out either Scion of the Ur-Dragon and Bladewing the Risen. A good combo is Bladewing the Risen comes into play then you play Worldgorger Dragon and each time Worldgorger Dragon goes to the grave Bladewing the Risen comes back into play and you can resummon Worldgorger Dragon. If all else fails I can always just use lands to summon one of the strong dragons and use Akroma's Memorial to protect them once they have hit the field.
Tried to keep most of your deck, with just a few fixing:
Reach and Journey are slow (3cmc), so i went with Tomorrow and Growth (1 and 2 cmc)
You can't rely on Piper to drop Scion/Bladewing, so i fixed mana base in a way you can hardcast both.
Shaman is a not cool acceleration since it dies, same for enchantment acceleration, and if foe manage to deal with them, it screws your game. So not taking on any of these routes.
Piper is too slow, the mana to cast him almost let you hardcast your Dragons, so dropped.
Seething Song is bad here since it's a burst of mana that leads into a dragon, that might be killed/countered, leading you into a card disadvantage.
Added one other Scion/Bladewing since the neat combo comes more often.
Added Pyroclasm to deal with swarm and Naturalize to deal with artifacts/enchantments
Added Terramorphic Expanse to help fix your mana base.

There are actually some really good dragons out there that you should consider. Broodmate Dragon is excellent, as it gives you 2 large creatures instead of one. Dragon Broodmother is great when playing those multiplayer games with friends. Predator Dragon is nice as well. Hellkite Charger is great, and the second ability really shines with all the evasion.
Budget Casual/Multiplayer deck (Occasionally duel). I am a new player so any reasoning you can give is greatly appreciated. I was thinking of adding a few fogs for early game.
As you can see I'm building my deck around Predator dragon.
Edit: My budget is 30 dollars. I already have 2 battlemages, rootbound crag, 1 terramorphic expanse, 4 claws, and 2 dragon fodders. The current cards I need is $35. I am currently trying to trade with friends to get the rest.
Hey, you missed pearl dragon for the mono white. Defensive bastion of the old days.
You also missed good old viashiven dragon for the red green multi colored
And you missed spitting earth on a flying stick in fire dragon.
As for acceleration there are a few mono red cards I think warrent inclusion in the o.p. gauntlet of mightmana flaregauntlet of power and extraplanar lens
I feel like there are more but I'm sleepy so ill think on it and get back. Please put these in the original post.
Thanks everyone and happy firebreathing!

The thing about coalition relic and other builder artifacts and land of old, is that while it only nets you 1 mana right now it gives you the option to save up that mana for the next turn. Strictly speaking it is cheaper to cast and activate compared to the old staples like red mana battery and providees instant mana as compared to the builder lands that come into play tapped. The appeal of these cards is like the appeal of banks. Put a little in at a time, make a big withdrawl when it counts. So if what you are doing requires quick acelleration then the land search might be strictly better, but if you are making payments on a fireball for 20....... then the choice is the relic. Especialy if you run artifact manipulation like voltaic key. I see alll the time on the forums this elitist mentality, that if you don't do this then you are an idiot, or a noob, or just plain dumb. It makes me sad. Magic cards are like tools, or musical instruments. You need the right tool for the job. Nothing on earth sounds like a violin. But the electric guitar is so new, and is louder. So you need the right one to get the sound you want.you can't use a hammer to loosen a nut. And there isn't always a crecent wrench that will work as good as the 3/4 box that fits perfect.
Sorry about the rant and I hope this helps.
Happy firebreathing
Edit ---I just re-read coalition relic. I thought it saved counters like mana battery, but you have to spend that mana the very next turn. I'm sorry. I suppose its not too bad for someone running all 5 colors as a mana fixer but there are better options. My apologies asylum.
and I got a 2 card open slot. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions and/or ideas on what to run for the slots and overall deck? Thanks for any feedback.

This has won me tons of games, but i still want to improve it! Some unconventional choices include the 25-land count and the overwhelmingly average Shivan Dragon, but it's been working thus far. One card I want to include again is Kiki Jiki, that way I can make extra Sad Sams or another 5/5 menace. The total of 8 pumpers makes the best use of my mana base, and the charger's ability is used quite often. This deck is primarily for multiplayer but holds its own a fair amount in duels.

It really depends on your budget and where your deck is lacking. If your creatures are not getting through try loxodon warhammer or power matrix. Both are unbelievable on the shivan dragon. Suprised to not see two headed dragon or flameblast dragon on your list either. Then if your opponents aren't playing red you could go for form of the dragon to halt their attacks. And as you can see from the post on the previous page where I posted a sample decklist, I like making my mountains worth 5 or 6 each so mana flare, gauntlet of might, and extraplanar lens could help. (I like really big Xspells) comet storm and fanning the flames are really good when you can tap 7 mountains for 28 mana.......
;-)

Song and Rite have inherent card disadvantage, but Flameblast can definitely replace Mordant. I've been thinking that Radkos Pit Dragon may be a step up from whelps, but I've always seen more use from the whelps already having flying.
I'm only considering taking out Chandra inorder to include more versatile answers. 3 now or 10 later - and 12 mana comes up all the time. This adjustment is simply a rough draft but I'm having issues with dropping Dragon Roost, the card that inspired me to make this deck. Final thoughts before checking other posts is whether or not I need more early-game removal.
I am building a dragon deck on a budget and I am making it a 5 color deck mostly being green cards for the mana accel. I am gonna organize the deck list in cards i have and cards i dont have but want to buy.
I know its at 64 cards but it dont really matter in casual play. I want to know what other people think of it cause i dont really know how it stands up to other casual dragon decks i just pretty much threw together the cards i have in 10 mins and was like im gonna make it a dragon deck. I dont know if you can tell but i stole the mana from my premium slivers deck( F**K Slivers ) and i hope that you all can tell me what you think.
Skred is the easiest way to kill something and save your mana for Shivan pumps. I would run Rimescale to answer any threats relatively close to hurting my precious flight of dragons, but most big beefy fliers my friends play are immune or find being tapped irrelevant.

I know that this is missing a couple of the better dragons (Bladewing, the Risen, Broodmate Dragon, etc.) but my friends and I have rules for our collected entities (Dragons, Demons, and Angels). And that is that the decks have to be mono-colored and containing 2-of a planeswalker that is aligned with that color (mine being Chandra). I'm not completely set on this list but there are plenty of choices for dragons to make changes.

Why would you have Terramorphic Expanse in a deck where the only basic land you have are mountains ... you should loose them and put in 3 more mountains.
Hey I'm building a dragon deck for fun. i have the basics of it down but need some help to plug the holes so to speak. i'm trying to get the mana cost of the dragons to be less of an issue and use it to my advantage. thats the basic idea...... and their dragons

Do you still want advice for the list? Broodmate Dragon is one of the best Dragons around. Trace of Abundance can make-up for some good mana ramp as well. Pyroclasm and Volcanic Fallout are both options to control aggro decks.

Coalition Relic is subpar compared to other forms of acceleration like: Utopia Sprawl, Fertile Ground, Search for Tomorrow and Rampant Growth. These are just faster, and the latter 2 have other functions like deck thinning (improving your draws) and not being susceptible to disruption.
Sorry about the rant and I hope this helps.
