I'm trying to make a straight up Red-Burns-Everything deck. How am I doing?
Sadly, Braid of Fire does not work here. The mana is added during your upkeep, and doesn't stay for the main phase. You can only spend that mana to cast instants during your upkeep. Eh, I guess you could pump it into your furnace imp.

Hmm...there are some concerns you may face.
Pyroclasm will kill Dragonspeaker and Whelp, but the biggest concern is killing Dragonspeaker which is the guy responsible for the acceleration.
I'm not a real fan of Braid of Fire and Seething Song here, the former because it's a dead card most of times, just will do something if whelp is out. Seething Song can lead into a big Dragon, but that can be a real card disadvantage if your dragon gets killed, and you won't have another solid mana base for another cast.
You can take the Dragon Stompy route, that uses ramp to put down Blood Moon (shuts down non-basic and screw opponents lands) or Trinisphere (makes all opponent decks slower), so you can go into your Huge Dragons with the board at your pace. Both are not very cheap cards, around $15 a set, but does a great job for the deck.
Hi, this is my first idea for Dragon ramp deck. I need cheap basic land mana base for legendary dragons. I need any suggestions and ideas ! Please Help !
Of course Elvish Piper always helps in getting creature cards out faster -- and the numbers of Islands, Swamps, and Plains are kind of low. I'm not extremely knowledgeable in replacement cards, so I can't recommend anything to improve otherwise.
Her plan is to use the walls as early game defense and mana ramp (along with Rampant Growth.) Then she'll go stomping with her legendary dragons. I just can't get behind cards like Fatal Blow and Fog within this deck and I'd rather she had more land ramp.
She hasn't bought most of these cards, yet. I'd like to get the deck working properly before she spends money that I could have put to use on my own decks!

Have you thought about making a Greater Good deck? That is a really awsome deck, and you can tweak it to fit Red instead of White if you want to. There is a decklist on the first page of this Primer, under BGW decks, just remove Loxodon and Kodama of the North Tree and use the rest.

"Now i lay you, down to rest, you'll never be more than second best" (Megadeth)
I have no choices regarding the dragons. Those were chosen by She Who Cooks and I'm not going to mess with that. Part of the problem here is that she doesn't want a deck designed by her husband. She wants to build her own. Yet, she still asks for my opinion on things. I have to pick my battles when it comes to recommending cards.
I can probably convince her to drop the Fatal Blow and replace it with Terminate. We have four copies of Sakura-Tribe Elder from a UG deck she built before, but she never got the hang of using them. Still, we can work those in after she has played it "her way" for a while.
Thanks for the suggestions! While I've read a good chunk of the primer, this is a deck archetype I've never played.
Nice, a 5-Color red deck! A good way to use mainly red mana and focus on your dragon legends is Sneak Attack. I would run 3-4 Sneak attack with about 4 Bladewing the Risen. The strategy here is simple: Sneak in a dragon, swing with it, it dies. Then Sneak in Bladewing, revive the dragon that you used Sneak Attack on previously. I recommend some Tutor cards if you can get them, the best being Vampiric and Demonic Tutor, respectively.

Jace was an awesome character and the neo-walkers seem like they will be a good concept given what I read in Agents of Artifice.

Well, fair enough, if you have to stick with those dragons, then we can try to build around that.
I looked at the new dragons, but none of them I found to be interesting for what my deck does. My Jund deck will be dragon-oriented in addition to Jund's popular card advantage. I'll post a decklist soon.
The synergy comes with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, and his buddies Spellbound Dragon and Knollspine Dragon. Their interactions are pretty obvious, but I thought I may as well at least indicate their existence. These three cards generate most of the hilarious plays this deck performs, and are the reason I love playing it.
Fires of Yavimaya this is actually mainly in the deck for Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, because I was sick of him dying before I could draw a card with him. Also helps Spellbound Dragon start looting earlier. The interaction with other dragons isn't that important.
Harmonize is actually easier to cast than [/card]Concentrate[/card], but I've chosen the latter to solidify blue's identity in the deck, plus the card is way cooler. This slot used to be Guided Passage (which I love), but as mentioned above, the 3-mana slot is bursting already, and the deck is kinda centered about Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, so this fits that theme better.
So that's a brief overview of the deck, and the card's roles. Feel free to give me any feedback or - more importantly - brutalise your enemies with big, card-advantage dragons.
Dragons don't stomp. They fly, so there must be some better word.
Anyway, there are bunches of potent dragons with cmc4 or 5 that are useful, then you can pump with Crucible of Fire and Equipment. Still use Dragonmaster Outcast and Dragon Broodmother to supply even more dragons, then use Sarkhan Vol to make sure all those dragons swing as soon as they come in. The most expensive dragon I'd run is anything with haste, like the Hellkite Charger.

Seven Knights gathered under a single banner, but soon came to learn one more would join their cause.
I searched the thread and I'm pretty sure no one has mentioned it, but my dragon deck win condition was Savage Beating for the one-dragon 20 damage double-swing.
Whenever Warp World Revolution became popular I quickly built my dragon varient and absolutely fell in love with it. It's probably my favorite deck ever. Since Lorwyn and Shadowmoor rotated out last fall I've continued to play the deck casually and do make modifications and changes here and there depending on my mood, but the above list is my basic outline. Warp World is one of the coolest ways out there to cheat in your big dragons. Give it a try sometime.
In my local shop I usually play strictly competitive magic or occasional EDH but as of late weve been getting some kids in wanting to play casual pick-up games so I tossed this together. Its ment to be clunky, over-sized, splashy and entertaining. So far Ive had pretty good success and most of the kids either beat me handily (as im extremely slow) and have fun thier thier random home brews or get a good laugh as I play dragon after dragon, anouncing it loudly to the whole shop.
rath walker- try Defense of heart. Pricey $ wise, but one of those cards so cheap game wise it works every time, if the deck has the right creatures... such as a bunch of random dragons. You may want to try and talk her into a few with good CIP or silver bullet type abilities or something... try chocolate.
The point of the deck is to kill my dragons with scion +fauna shamans, and then pull out teneb or dread returns to reanimate. dread return over other things like reanimate because of the flashback ability, which lets me sacrifice Kamigawa dragons to bring back other dragons, using their ability.

The deck uses: Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors, Simian Spirit Guide, Chrome Mox, Seething Song, Blood Moon and Trinisphere as the main lock. Trinisphere maybe has more uses to you than Blood Moon, because most casual decks runs basic lands and just a few non-basic.
Maybe something like this (i'll try to make it more budget)
04 Sandstone Needle
04 Forgotten Cave
16 Mountain
// CREATURES (20)
04 Dragonspeaker Shaman
04 Fledgling Dragon
04 Rakdos Pit Dragon
04 Tarox Bladewing
04 Rathi Dragon
04 Rite of Flame
04 Trinisphere
04 Lightning Bolt
04 Mind Stone
Of course Elvish Piper always helps in getting creature cards out faster -- and the numbers of Islands, Swamps, and Plains are kind of low. I'm not extremely knowledgeable in replacement cards, so I can't recommend anything to improve otherwise.
1 Jugan, the Rising Star
1 Kokusho, the Evening Star
1 Ryusei, the Falling Star
1 Bladewing the Risen
Utility Critters
3 Dragonmaster Outcast
4 Dragonspeaker Shaman
4 Wall of Souls
4 Overgrown Battlement
4 Rampant Growth
3 Bituminous Blast
2 Blazing Salvo
3 Time of Need
3 Fatal Blow
3 Fog
6 Forest
5 Mountain
3 Fire-Lit Thicket
3 Savage Lands
3 Swamp
3 Rootbound Crag

I think you're right. I'd remove Fog, Blazing Salvo and Fatal Blow. Use those slots to add Kodama's Reach and/or Search for Tomorrow. I'd consider Terminate, and also Sakura-Tribe Elder instead of Rampant Growth.
My YouTube Channel
I think the right way to move is adding the ramp core: Search for Tomorrow + Sakura-Tribe Elder + Rampant Growth / Kodama's Reach.
Add to that removal (like Terminate, or Doom Blade), Time of Need, and maybe mass removal like Pyroclasm / Infest.
On the Dragons, you've put 2 of the weakest Kamigawa Dragons: Ryusei and Jugan. Keiga, Kokusho and Yosei are the best ones.
I'd remove:
-4 Dragonspeaker Shaman
-3 Bituminous Blast
-3 Fatal Blow
-3 Fog
-2 Blazing Salvo

I'm not very creative right now, maybe some crazy thing like a sac oultet (Carrion Feeder, Carnage Altar, Rite of Consumption) + Cauldron of Souls, to abuse Dragons graveyard effect.
Just something weird that came up, but i'll think harder...

I turned my EDH (Commander) Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck into a regular deck (Classic) that is also legal in Tribal Wars:

1 Oros, the Avenger
1 Dromar, the Banisher
1 Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund
1 Vaevictis Asmadi
1 Arcades Sabboth
1 Palladia-Mors
1 Nicol Bolas
1 Chromium
2 Summoning Trap
Ramp
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
4 Search for Tomorrow

10 Forest
2 Island
3 Mountain
2 Plains
3 Swamp

As a fairly experienced casual deckbuilder, here is my take on dragon tribal.
This list is :symu::symr::symg:, since it's my opinion that these colours contain the most fun dragons to play.
Without further ado:
7 Forest
3 Island
4 Shivan Oasis
2 Shivan Reef
3 Cascade Bluffs
3 Fierce Empath
4 Spellbound Dragon
3 Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
2 Dragon Broodmother
3 Knollspine Dragon
3 Bogardan Hellkite
2 Fires of Yavimaya
4 Concentrate
1 Crucible of Fire
So the deck isn't entirely self-explanatory. Here are a few comments.
Yes, there are better lands than Shivan Oasis and Shivan Reef, but Shiv is the home of dragons, thus these lands must feature.
Dragonspeaker Shaman is worse than Urza's Incubator but is more legit. Fierce Empath makes sure you get the right dragon, and stops you dying too early. Dragon Broodmother and Bogardan Hellkite are pretty eld-explanatory. Big, dumb threats and a lot of fun to cast.
Rampant Growth is better than Cultivate here because the 3-mana slot is full, and also turn 3 Concentrate is pretty good.
Fires of Yavimaya this is actually mainly in the deck for Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, because I was sick of him dying before I could draw a card with him. Also helps Spellbound Dragon start looting earlier. The interaction with other dragons isn't that important.

Crucible of Fire - it's a dragon deck. You HAVE to have one! It's actually not awful with Dragon Broodmother.
So that's a brief overview of the deck, and the card's roles. Feel free to give me any feedback or - more importantly - brutalise your enemies with big, card-advantage dragons.
