1. Depending on the meta, no. Highly developed metas (that are basically pseudo-legacy) would require it, but in underdeveloped ones, it might be overkill.

I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
I think Llanowar Augur has a place on the list. The more I play him, the more I think he's a two stars out of five kinda guy, but still worth a look depending on the build you run.
Upside: In a deck make entirely of creatures and pump spells, he is both. Mostly he's pump, but in a pinch you can buff him up and swing. Not a bad blocker if you're facing infect/wither and he can block things without killing them. (I'm looking at you, Perilous Myr.) He grants +3/+3 AND trample to make sure the damage gets through. He's an extra target for BQ.
Downside: He's not sneaky. He's slow. He dies to creature removal, of which there is plenty.
So I went through the primer and this is what I came up with. I wasn't sure whether those last two slots should go to taunting elf or seal of strength, but I thought that bequeathal could use some more support. It also seemed like a good idea because I figured I should start out with the pump spells not completely maximized and add more if i needed any.
Mtenda Lion looked much more effective with winter orb so I left out those because I am on a budget.
Skarrgan Pit-Skulk didn't look that good to me. However it would be pretty funny to play Vine Dryad turn 0 in order to play a 2/2 Pit Skulk Turn 1.
I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
Honestly, Skarrgan Pit-Skulk is a staple in this archetype. It will be a 2/2 almost every time you play it, it goes extremely well with Rancor, and is basically unblockable if you're going for the alpha-strike.
I would definitely consider running it over Silhana.

It doesn't seem bad but it also kind of paints a target on that creatures head. I will have to think about it. Plus I haven't even played with this deck yet so I haven't even tested bequeathal yet. It doesn't look like I will get a chance to play for a little while.
I'm not sure how I feel about using the landfall mechanic. Obviously, Quirion Ranger helps with it quite a bit, but still... If I did run landfall, I'd rather run Adventuring Gear and toss in a few Terramorphic Expanse to thin out all those extra lands. Decreasing the threat density of the deck just to get a +4/+4 at instant speed seems pretty weak when pauper has unconditional +3/+3 options like Giant Growth.
You got me thinking about a landfall stompy variant so here goes. It will look a little weird but I think land grant will probably have to be replaced by Terramorphic Expanse which is good for a double landfall and fixes colors. Crop rotation also looks good in order to fix lands and landfall for cheap.
Vinelasher Kudzu would be an ideal threat to include to abuse landfall but looks like a splash would have to made for steppe lynx, or for plated geopede and lightning bolt. The kudzu itself may not be so great as the only addition because the opponent could just remove it and the deck would just be a worse XLS. However it even looks like the deck could benefit from a splash like this because what else would this deck want but creatures that can pump themselves.
Quirion Ranger of course is a must and so is Llanowar Elves which look just as good here as in normal XLS. Harvest Wurm also looks good because of Rogue Elephant, Terramorphic Expanse and Crop Rotation all filling up the graveyard with lands and it reuses more lands to landfall with. Groundswell and Sylvan Ranger are on theme so it goes for now too.
Overall there seems to be a lot of synergy with landfall that can be used so I am going to try it out.
Here is a list of all the cards I mentioned. And thanks for all the responses.
I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
This deck is only effective in 1v1 and Emperor variants, because in chaos my opponents have time to set up 4 land for the sweepers. Skullclamp is severely frowned upon in my group to the point of being banned. I still sneak it in sometimes.
I have a large pool of stompy cards that come in and out depending on my mood, so don't feel bad about making obvious suggestions, I probably have a playset of it.
I have a good record with this deck mainly because Aggro trumps control.
This list has not been play-tested yet, but focuses on efficient cards:
I usually do not change anything and I can outrun him unless he draws into multiple daze, last gasp, and isochron scepter's and agony warp. He doesn't let me play skullclamp, so I run out of steam when he stabilizes (at 2-5 life). I have no way to stop his Keiga, Sphinx of J'war Isle, or Meloku.
-4 Signal Pest
+4 Spider Umbra?
Still concerned about why I lose 50% of my games against this deck. He has a lot of CA via Brainstorm, Impulse (on a stick) and Top.
I do have one winter orb, my card store ran out of Quirion Ranger, but it does have Scryb Ranger. Is that a worthwhile investment? I'll try to find some online somewhere. I would need at least 3 winter orb wouldn't I? Thanks for your reply.
Quirion Ranger is essential. Ditch the bogle, i'd rather have anything else, how about jungle lion? Llanowar elves or fyndhorn elves should be a 4-of, their synergy with ranger is obscene. Ditch the might of old krosa for bounty of the hunt. Vine dryad is a very good and resistant speedy beater and should speed you up against madness (and all others). I very much agree with running 2-3 winter orb. leatherback baloth is viable if you run 6-8 mana elves. I recommend cutting down to 8 land or so if you add elves. Talara's battalion is another creature to consider (especially with the inclusion of free spells).

Quirion Ranger is indeed mandatory, and you have no mana dork. I'd swap in 4 Quirion Ranger and 4 Llanowar Elves first and foremost. Rogue Elephant is very prevelent.
A few other thoughts.
Do you often find you don't have the mana you need. With Quirion Ranger and Llanowar elves, 10 land stompy can make it, but you had neither, and 8 2CC creatures. For that many 2cc critters...I'd recommend going to a 12 land build with the ranger and llanowar. Consider 13 or even 14 if that doesn't cut it. Boa isn't worth much if you can't regen him.
Lastly, you be able to race control 1vs1, but 12land stompy is not a very good deck in multi-player. My group all has both powerful (and some powered) decks, and also normal casual. I've never won a multiplayer game amidst the powerful group, and VERY RARELY win a multi vs. the "casual" level stuff. I've actually had better luck with my sligh deck, if that means anything to you.
Xland stompy is dedicated to dealing 20 damage, in 5 turns or less. Explosively. Or it splats. To be honest, I honestly wouldn't recommend 12 land stompy if multi is your bag. Its like taking a pure burn deck to multi...not gonna' go well.
Hope I've helped. Feel free to check out our stompy primer in the primer forum for more info
Well I took my sweet time but here is my first try at a stompy build. I went g/r to try a bit of a different route. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the help.
I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
I'm not sure how much I like Boa here, but if it works for you, that's fine.
Spectral Bears can probably be a Jungle Lion-type card, or maybe something like Bequeathal or Briar Shield. Although, if you're going oldschool, DrDRum will be a better help than I.
hm... what about 3 boas and 3 dryads and 2 mirris guile or seal of strength, maybe symbiosis if you drop a lot of creatures, all of your sb cards have old design ^^
Mind giving me opinions on my build bone doc/others. I think I may have to many 2cc creatures (11) for only 12 lands. Which route is best to go? Higher lands or fewer 2cc creatures?

Well, Dryad is best on turn 1, so cutting that wouldn't be the best. I could see you adding just 1 Mirris, though. I do it with Sylvan Library a lot.

Also is my threat/pump/support/lands radio ok?
Ah, right, you
I prefer a higher 1 CMC density. The biggest issue with adding a color, is that pretty much all the land needs to be a dual land, because often this deck will work off of just 1 land. Also, because you added another color, Birds of Paradise is preferable to Llanowar Elves. It can still be pumped and enchanted, so having no power isn't too big a loss.

your colour mix feels a little wierd, but I'm a sucker for wheel of fortune, so hey.
You should drop a mountain for another land grant; land grant = stomping ground copies 5-8. in deck so reliant on functioning with very little land, a normal mountain is likely gonna hurt you more than the shock from stomping ground

the point of mirris over library is the speed, 1 cmc over 2 cmc in stompy its great, and is difficulty to use the draw of library in most cases... depends entire of the meta
a fast/burn meta doesnt allow you to use library, a more infect meta / control make library more stronger than mirris.
2. 12-20 pump spells, including Rancor.
And also, our wiki is a great resource

Thank you so much I am working on a list to try out right now.

I have to go now but Bone_Doc remind me that I have some ideas for frog in a blender: flashback+moldervine clock
I would definitely consider running it over Silhana.
What do you think of replacing Bequeathal with Infiltration Lens? It makes your creatures painful to block, and is insane with Taunting Elf.
Sounds like it works pretty well here so its in.

-4 Signal Pest
+4 Spider Umbra
Any suggestions against these two match-ups are greatly appreciated.

All untested so far but it looks like these might be worth testing.
Livewire Lash can potentially deal a lot of damage with pump spells.
Signal Pest could possible replace Ornithopter.
Green Sun's Zenith allows for more consistancy and tutoring certain creatures.
Contested War Zone seems to be good in aggressive decks similar to this.
I'm not sure how much I like Boa here, but if it works for you, that's fine.
Spectral Bears can probably be a Jungle Lion-type card, or maybe something like Bequeathal or Briar Shield. Although, if you're going oldschool, DrDRum will be a better help than I.
