First of all, let me make it clear that my friends and I play this "modern-legacy-budget-just for fun" type format that you all should be used to at some extent, heh, so this deck doesn't really need to be that competitive, it just needs to work well enough.
With that in mind, I have been working on a deck based on Brion Stoutarm lookalikes and Defenders. To some extent I like what I have put together, but I also fear that it is way to static and lacking variety in winning conditions, specially given that, at most times, I need to hit my basic combos at least twice to win the game. So I was wondering how could I diversify my deck (maybe adding some creatures that can actually attack, maybe adding more versatile useful 1/2 drops, idk). Could you guys help me out? (oh, and let's try to keep it cheap ok?)
I know some really janky ways of making it so Brion has a creature with infinite power to throw, but it's like a 4 card combo. So You might not want to go there.
I like the defenders theme. If I were you, I would add even more then use Vent Sentinel as an alternate win con to Brion.

I'm also wondering if my Reckless Charges are indeed the right cards to have in there. I mean, considering the deck as a whole, wouldn't Lightning Bolt serve the same purpose while being more reliable? Or even maybe dropping them all together for more defenders.

You could try some Persist shenanigans- Scuzzback Marauders, Thunderblust, Cauldron Haze et al, with something that feeds off -1/-1 counters to make things interesting.

Now I'm trying to figure what to take out. I'll probably start with the Qal Sisma Behemoths and Capashen unicorns and just go with no removal whatsoever.

Seething Anger for Buyback may be better than Reckless Charge, or Crown of Flames/Fiery Mantle would be a good alternative... pump, sac, and kick back the aura. Genju of the Spire would be entertaining...
