essentially I mulligan until I get a Treasure Hunt, Then discard cards for 2/2 zombie tokens with Zombie Infestation, and cast Worm Harvest to get some extra 1/1's. If I need to, I can get Diregraf Captain, and gain +1/+1 for each zombie, and he has deathtouch for any biggies with trample.
My weaknesses are:
1. Trample, I have only 2-4 max toughness on any creature. I can use Diregraf Captain but then i'll lose counters. anything cheap that can deathtouch them? even just an instant for one of them would be okay.
2. No life gain. is there a card that could get me life gain based on creatures on the battlefield or cards in the graveyard?
any Ideas appreciated:)
Drop Seismic Assault or Molten Vortex. Then draw a ton of lands using Treasure Hunt, Day's Undoing, or burning Swans. Fling lands at the opponent's creatures and face FTW.
If you're deadset on using ZI instead of Assault (budget reasons?), then Swans is useless, but you can still use Day's Undoing as a hand reset. The drawback of ending your turn is negated by the fact that you can still discard lands to ZI on opponent's turn.
I agree Worm Harvest seems bad. It's very expensive and slow, and it increases the chance of you Treasure Hunting into something other than ZI or a Hunt. Just play 4 Zombie Infestation.
You can get lifegain through lands: 4 Dismal Backwater and 4 Jwar Isle Refuge. You could also run lands that provide card selection like Halimar Depths. Since you have no turn 1 plays anyway, there's no harm in having many ETB tapped lands.
actually, with a few practice runs, Worm Harvest has proven really useful, especially since you can cast it from the graveyard and you can reuse the lands you're throwing away. Otherwise I could run out of lands and mill myself with Zombie Infestation. I agree it has a little too high of a mana cost, but I couldn't find a card that would work better in this situation.
Feldon's Cane? Then you're recycling your graveyard. I'm really just wondering how you could last long enough to deck yourself. Once you have 10 creatures, the game should be yours.
