Ok, it's not really control. But it's not aggro... it's just... a deck
I feel this deck is fairly interesting and perhaps unexpected. The deck is also cheap to make ($62)!
The idea is simple. Momma can protect your creatures from removal, give herself protection after blocking. Give the Goldenglow Moth protection and block to gain life. Then you drop Magus of the Moat, which prevents all non-flyers from attacking. From there on, remove flyers using Oblivion Ring and Swords to Plowshares. Finally, finish the game by dropping Mirror Entity with X = 5-6 and swing with all of your fliers for the kill.
Please offer any suggestions! The only criteria is to keep this deck cheap, thanks!
The only change I could suggest would be trying Celestial Crusader over Mirror Entity, Crusader gives bonus to your other creatures but can attack over Magus of the Moat, while the Entity can't attack through that one.
Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I did a bit of thinking and calculation. Say I have 4 lands (enough to cast celestial crusader or mirror entity) and two 1/1 fliers on the board. With the crusader, I can swing 5 points of damage. With mirror entity and an activation of x = 4, I can swing for 8 points of damage. The amount of damage with entity also increases rapidly as I get more lands and more creatures. The crusader is great as a combat trick though, and leaves lands open for other things.
I recently found this card called Spectral Procession. I think I will use that card to replace Skyhunter Skirmisher. Three 1/1 fliers deal more damage than a double striker, plus this is all from a single card!
I also found a copy of Kor Haven in my binder which will be great for stopping that one flier my opponents have.
What do you think about Squadron Hawk? It essentially draws me 3 cards and thins the deck. Perhaps this can replace the Goldenglow Moth?
I agree that Spectral Procession is an excellent card. It also plays well with Mother of Runes, since you'll have enough tokens to hold one back as a protected blocker.
Note that unless you add more card types to your deck, it's highly unlikely that Topplegeist's delirium effect will trigger.
Judge's Familiar seems iffy here. Its main strength is early-game tempo, and your deck looks like it'll be somewhat slower. I'd swap it out for something better. I also agree with Xyx that Goldenglow Moth is weak.
I am aware Topplegeist won't be able to trigger, but as far as 1 mana fliers go, it's doesn't get much better (Yes, serra ascendant is more ideal, but two of those will equal the cost of my entire deck). Inkmoth Nexus and Blinkmoth Nexus are extremely powerful in this deck as well. As a future upgrade, I can add fetch lands to help boost the geist.
I'm not too concerned with how strong my creatures are, as long as they can fly over Magus of the Moat. The main offensive strategy is to pump them with mirror entitym so the cheaper and weaker the creature, the better. I'm actually considering a playset of Ornithopter instead of Topplegeist now... since 0 cost and base 0/2 seems slightly better than a 1-time tap trigger at 1/1...hmmm
Oh, and yes I will try something other than the Judge's Familiar. Its main purpose originally was to protect an early game Momma because once she sticks, my creatures become extremely difficult to remove aside from board wipes.
If Magus of the Moat was one sided, holy smokes it will be crazy haha... like a semi Blazing Archon for 4 mana. All of the creatures you mentioned are great. I will have to play around with the roster to see who to include in my main deck, thanks!
Yep, I totally forgot about Ornithopter being non-white. That was the reason I didn't include it in the first place.
If you splash blue, you can do a Spirit tribal deck with Topplegeist, Spectral Procession, Midnight Haunting, Mirror Entity, and Drogskol Captain. You still have your original plan of flying over the most, but you'll have other options in case you don't draw a Magus of the Most or Mirror Entity. Blue also lets you play Detention Sphere over Oblivion Ring.

For other creature options, Grand Abolisher and Devout Witness are useful hatebears; Mirran Crusader and Silverblade Paladin are wonderfully aggressive; and Mentor of the Meek will give you valuable card advantage.

Some useful, low-CMC flying creatures you might want to look at include Serra Avenger, Soulcatcher (if you go heavy on the tokens), Stillmoon Cavalier, and White Shield Crusader. Aven Mindcensor and Hushwing Gryff may be useful hate cards, depending on your meta.
There's also Luminarch Ascension, which might work well with your current defensive strategy.
