I spent the last weeks building a RUG Midrange deck and would appreciate feedback from more experienced players. I am happy with the creaturebase so far. I am not quite sure about my instants and sorceries. Would it be a reasonable approach to cut one Crater's and Cyclonic Rift for a card draw spell? Is Cyclonic Rift good at all? I'm considering to exchange it with Polymorphist's Jest but I'm worried abot the UU.
Hi, with 23 land and no ramp, you shouldn't be playing Crater's Claws or Cyclonic Rift. Into the Roil and Echoing Truth are much much better for your deck if you want that bounce effect. Sometimes Repeal is better than those because of the cantrip. If you are just looking to bounce creatures, then Snap is the best.
Really close on the formatting, but I think you did too much work Try just quoting my post so you can see the format. Thanks for the conversion! NOW... to help
pyroclasm fights your Xenagos 0 ability
I was going to list a few other cards that might work better, but i'll just be a bum and share my RUG deck with you. It's cascade, so it's a little lower on the curve, but there might be some gems in there for you to enjoy.
I want to call attention to, in particular, that, just because you are "midrange" doesn't mean that you have to have all 4 drops. You can also check out maybe Madcap Skills and Temur Battle Rage and Temur Sabertooth (particularly good when bouncing something like a Coiling Oracle) . OH and Life's Legacy can be a great 1-2 of for some sweet card draw if it's really needed to grab responses to things. My concern with your deck is that it's TOO midrange. It needs a little more use of the amazing love that Temur brings as far as aggro control goes.
Oh man... Thank's for explaining me how to post correctly. Not a bum at all. Getting a sneak peak at other decks playing the same color is one of the best possibilities to get new inputs. Thanks for sharing!

This is a very valid point. While a lot of your creature base falls out of my range because Pyroclasm is a key card in my deck, there are a lot of very interesting utility spell. Life's Legacy is amazing. Thank you vso much for your help. I'll make some adaptions and post here again.
