2v2 is somehow real popular where I live, and we mostly play non-2HG, which means you sit in front of your partner and play after your ennemy on the right.
We and a friend are looking for two decks that would work together in that format, I know it's rather vague but at the moment I'm looking for ideas. Things could be that simple like an effect to tap a creature in a deck, and a Royal Assassin in the other, a Memory Laspe in a deck and a Thoughtscour in the other, or a simple Infect creatures + a partner buff deck.
As I said, I'll take any idea and will not have restrictions. However, if it stimulates you, let's say we both like playing control, play within Legacy rules, both like blue, would prefer themed/conceptual deck, and don't really care that much about losing, as long as we can have our combo or synergy work. We'll use the cards that we already have so please avoid staples (yeah, I would guess two Miracles deck could work awesome...) but don't care much about budget either, we might just buy or trade to what we need.
me and my cousin we're heavy into duels of the plains walker 2013 i believe it was when it was new and for teams we basically did black creature removal and counter/bounce he did mono-blue i did mono-black it worked well he'd keep people locked and id keep the board clear till i got my direct damage spells. when we built the decks to use at our play table everyone hated us haha they were both basically control themed decks very basic cards used. for blue it would be tons of spells very little creatures because ull be doing mutilate based wipes of the board consider newer cards aswell like gray merchant of asphodel and other cards similar like Exsanguinate they deal damage to each opponent so if your group does shared life total hit for 10 damage with one of those thats 20 damage total, also consider cards like tendrils of corruption , Vampire Nighthawk, Fleshbag Marauder, chump blocking with cards like Abyssal Gatekeeper or pairing it with Innocent Blood for double effect and also No Mercy can keep your board nice and clean if some creature does manage to get through. you can do alot of hilariously sinister things with black how you do so is up to you haha hope this helped now for blue id recommend a lot of cheap counter spells and bounce cards like counterspell, disperse, boomerang, wash outmana leak and for laughs Vision Charm to turn your enemies lands into another color to fizzle spells or buy time you can even pair all these spells with Sphinx-Bone Wand to deal a little damage.
B) UR Counterburn deck with 4 Twincast and 4 Reverberate and then cantrips, Lightning Bolts, and so on. You can also do silly things with Shelldock Isle.
Opponents may never want to play Magic against you again though.
