I want to get the Community together to build a deck around this new critter. There are so many different ways this card could be played. Ping it. Pump it and block. Mono Green. Green White. Blue green, etc. Ive had a few ideas but nothing i feel is concrete. I wanted to use this card along side Doubling Season (for obvious reasons) but i also wanted to use +1/+1 counters on the Wasps. Or use Ivy Lane Denizen to pump the Nest everytime the Wasps come out. Lets put our heads together and get something going.
With a bunch of deathtouch tokens you can basically wipe out all the opponent's creatures with something like Curse of the Nightly Hunt or Gideon Jura.
Dude! Please Learn How to Autocard!: To Autocard individual cards type [Card*]Into the Maw of Hell[/Card*] and remove the asterisks to get Into the Maw of Hell or Stuffy Doll. Ta-Da! Autocarded!
When Autocarding a deck, type:
[Deck*]
Creatures: 1
4 Little Girl
Other Creatures: 1
4 Phyrexian Obliterator
[/Deck*]
Yay! Now people are actually look at your decklist properly and help you improve it! Excellent! You can tell that I love exclamation marks!
1. Try to run playsets of cards (meaning 4 of a card). This way your deck will win more consistently and you will draw your better cards more often.
2. Make sure to focus your deck on one single idea that can win you the game and make sure all the cards in your deck contribute to that idea. You have a limited number of cards so make sure all of them count. For example, your deck could be a Elf Tribal deck, an Aggro aggressive deck or maybe a Control deck.
3. Card advantage is very important. You need to understand that cards the draw you more cards are extremely helpful. The more cards you have in your hand the more options you have. With more options you have a greater chance at winning the game.
4. Removal is also quite important. Most decks more or less should run at least some removal.
5. Last but not least, make sure your deck is exactly 60 cards! Even 61 is not acceptable. Good luck in deck building!

Entangler isn't much of a trick though, they won't attack into it if given a choice, which means you need one of those force an attack cards. You could run Blaze of Glory or Valor Made Real for the same effect at instant speed (depending on how pimp you want to be). I personally don't think that it needs to be indestructible if you can mass block an alpha strike. To take control of Combat you could run Siren's Call, Master Warcraft or one of the oldschoolImps
Green Sun's Zenith would help you find a nest. Cyclone is a mono-green damage card, but it would also kill the hornets, but if you have multiple nests keeping it a turn or two might work. Staff of Nin might be useful though.
Bump! I really would like some ideas. I was thinking about throwing them into a deck with Kiora, the Crashing Wave. Maybe a the blue can provide some coverage for the Nest as it provides coverage for the Crashing Wave.
SELVAXRI! King of Misfortune & Master of Rocket Launchers "Do ya feel lucky? Because you'd better start runnin' while you still can." 375 Misfortune {+3 signed AP's} & 104 Rocket Launcher (41 AQ/ 63 Rev) Edgar Rice Burroughs, forgotten legend of the word.
I feel that we need to play up the flavor even more...
I really like the Acorn Catapault, and the things that make it stay around like coating it in a Darksteel Plate, Indestructibility that was mentioned, and turning into a God with a Gift of Immortality.
I'm not sure I like Blast Act, but could work. It's a Wrath that leaves 13 hornets. That's pretty awesome, depending on your casual group you might get hated on.

P.S. Please no comments regarding the Midnight Guard + Burning Anger + Hornet Nest combo. Thats been discussed all over Standard SCD's.
Edit: I would suggest adding white for Gideon Jura, Pariah and Entangler which could lead to some pretty cool shenanigans. Darksteel Plate could work too.
Edit Edit: Just thought of this. Mentor of the Meek would help draw a bunch of cards too.

Once again, remove the asterisks to get:

Ive never heard of the card Entangler!! Thats seems pretty sick. That could get a hell of a lot of hornets out if the nest is indestructible.

I might throw some Shivan Meteors at it.
You can also have extra copies of Nest if you want with Broodhatch Nantuko and/or Saber Ants.
