I'm looking to build a White/Black Angels and Demon deck. The catch, I would like to do it on a budget since I only play against a friend. The real hard part for me is to pick cheap spells to hold of my friend until I can get angels and demons out. I guess I was thinking prevent, like Angelsong for white and something like destroy, like Murder or something with life gain, like Pharika's Cure. I was thinking of using lands like Seraph Sanctuary, Orzhov Guildgate, and Orzhov Basilica to help speed up my mana and a bit of life gain. I know having Serra Avenger is a must have in the deck. I'm not really sure what demons would be good to have in this deck. I'm up for any ideas.
you can get the deck for around $20 if you shop in the right place (tcgplayer.com). You have a ton of removal to protect yourself in the early turns, and 4 signets plus 23 lands means you have a good amount of mana to play your large creatures. You also have four 3 cost angels and four 3 cost demons, so you don't have to wait too long to start playing dudes.
So I guess my biggest problem with demons is that I don't like to sacrifice creatures. I love playing creature heavy decks. To me it just makes sense to play. So I hate getting rid of creatures without having away to get them back from the graveyard.
