Hey so I recently got a playset of Karador, Ghost Chieftain from a friend and I was wondering what are some good cards to go with it. I do have a couple of Whip of Erebos, Grimoire of the Dead and also have a playset of Pack Rat for using as a discard engine and ramp to the graveyard with creatures to bring back. If anyone can give me a few tips or cards to help with trying to make this deck a really big hit and making it super good. (Also I'm wanting to keep it B/G/W to match up with Karador.)
Play efficient creatures with abilities that either happen from entering or leaving the battlefield or that cause them to leave it.
Creatures with cast triggers, allthough those are, I think, and rightfully so, very few. Sakura-Tibe Elder for example ramps Karador twice. On that note: You should also try to cast him for four to six mana. Else you might as well play Sheoldred, Whispering One and get a creature per turn for free plus an Edict engine, on a bigger body - only downside being she's uptight about her schedule and timing might nail you, where Karador is more flexible.

This is the deck I have constructed so far. I did decide to use Sheoldred instead because I liked her ability better in my opinion, but side boarded Karador just in case the deck needs to be changed.
This is the deck I have so far for a junk reanimator deck. I was also maybe considering throwing in some Diregraf Ghoul and Gravecrawler. Any advice or suggestions of changes or swap outs would be cool for both sideboard and deck.
This is what I have made as the 2nd draft after looking at the multiple creatures mentioned above and the two necessary spells these are the results. Thoughts on the deck so far right now and any other good spells or creatures to add, change out, or get rid of completely with still enough mana to make it all work.
Before I post my junk reanimator, just realize that I'm fully aware that it seems like it won't work. It doesn't even have that much reanimation. Oddly enough, against my casual friends who build really strong decks, this deck still performs. It seem inconsistent and difficult to get anything high on the curve out, but that just ISN'T true for some reason. Don't know why this deck works, but it has rarely failed me, unless someone has graveyard hate. good luck!

I like that deck, but I was wondering if I could change some of the lands out and some of the creatures to fit my style more. If so which creatures are expendable and which ones are vital to the strategy?

honestly, the strategy is just to last until you put out something that you can or if you're lucky, that you want out.
this deck just clears away issues and puts down a creature that works for what you're playing against. there are a few cool combos though
it's a singleton deck with a decent mana curve (does favor the high end obvious), but with Beacon of Unrest (accidentally in the Creatures section!!!!), your deck is wide open to fun.. go ahead, mill me, go ahead, kill that creature, go ahead make me discard.. its all gold for this deck. very persistant. good luck!

Okay i'll sideboard Sheoldred, Whispering One and keep Karador, Ghost Chieftain as the main one and switch it around if needed after playtesting. This may sound silly, but can I use Pack Rat to discard all the creatures and then pump out creatures like Inkwell Leviathan, Blazing Archon, and Infernal Spawn of Infernal Spawn of Evil. (yes I know the last one was an Unglued series card, but it is to good.)
With Sheoldred: No mana needed.
Oh. I thought when it said "Cast from the graveyard" I could play it without paying it's mana cost. Dang.

And there are cards that put exactly what you want on the graveyard: Entomb and Buried Alive.
Some nice cards to reanimate: Griselbrand, Iona, Shield of Emeria, Jin Gitaxias, Core Augur, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Sundering Titan, Inkwell Leviathan, Platinum Emprerion
And another must is Dark Ritual. This enables some turn 1 Iona with Entomb + Reanimate. Or some turn 1 Buried Alive.
So on your opponents upkeep they would have to sac a creature - but because of It That Betrays - you would then take control of that sac'd creature.

silverblade paladin + wolfir silverheart is TERRIFYING, but of course quite easy to disrupt.
Silverblade paladin + wormcoil engine is beautiful
mitotic slime + trostani, selesnya's voice + killing it, or sac-ing it is excellent. sac can be to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or disciple of bolas, or korozda guildmage.
eternal witness + any creature you want to reuse ETB effects is wonderful
jarad, golgari lich lord loves to sac Desecration demon, as does korozda guildmage
