One of Kaja Foglio's more iconic works... Rabid Wombat is a personal favorite. I could imagine crazy decks with Mind Twist and Ancestral Knowledge. "You discard X cards, i draw several, then Eureka!"

Speaking of penalty on your wallet, the 9/07/18 random card of the day is Obelisk of Urd. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
The 9/11/18 random card of the day is Razorfin Hunter. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
Oh wow! My all time favourite card. The idea of making a ping deck is what got me from "playing someone else's deck" with my friends to buying and collecting cards. It is still my favourite deck and the only one I refuse to run proxies on. Razorfin Hunter is the best card because of its CMC cost. The idea is simply to control the board with pingers!
Some 6-7 years on, as I continue to update it, it has not aged well. Pingers are still 3cmc and creatures basically aren't run these days unless they have some sort of protection. Ah well.
The 9/14/18 random card of the day is Guttersnipe. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
Wow two cards I have built decks around in a few days. What are the odds?
Guttersnipe is obvious: two headed giant!
It is by *far* the most common format I play, so I made a deck around it. It got retired due to complaints of power, it has never lost. Even though it is actually quite slow starting. Anyway, here it is, my "Giant Burn" deck:
i just want to see RnD's logic behind the Leeches and Derelor. atleast Jade Leech is semi playable in a non-green deck, if you eke him in... other leeches, hard pass- they are literally unplayable. Andradite Leech, Sapphire Leech, Ruby Leech... no reason to even play them, unless you're going for a Donate + Mind Bend direction

Stain the mind comes out a lot in our playgroup. I find it to be quite devastating. It's especially annoying when your friends know your decks. I'm actually amazed it's modern legal. Maybe I overrate it, but turn 3 or 4 they can not only make you discard (with any look at your hand spell first) but remove cards critical to your strategy.

I think it's brutal, but that's just me.
Cranial Extraction was a deck at one point, with Hana Kami and Death Denied. The high cmc of these effects (and the newer ones having significant drawbacks) has kept them mostly in check, but the effect is undeniably powerful. The biggest issue with Stain the Mind is that by the time you have the creatures to convoke with, it's easier to cast a pump spell and kill the opponent.
By all accounts, there is no "other" wording in Temple of the False Gods... so, you could have four Temples and one other land, and bam- 8 + whatever.
In Urza-Tron/Lotus-tron decks, this land would be a welcome addition. Ghost Town, Ghost Quarter, Ancient Tomb... it's not as good as those, but entirely playable.

I've always had a soft spot for Harrow. Since it's an instant, it's a little harder to get countererd when you cast it at the end of your opponent's turn. The 2 lands also come into play untapped, so you can play something else.
Harrow is probably the most iconic ramp card there is. I run a couple in my WGR Wall deck, mostly to get the plains/mountains i need.

But one of the better fixers before Kodama's Reach/Cultivate happened.
I bought the Lord Windgrace precon and it fits well in the deck.
These are the decks that I have constructed, and are ready to play:
