Thunder of Hooves is a funny card. Your reward for playing a bunch of beasts is that you get to kill all of your own creatures. I suppose it was printed during a time when most playable beasts weren't 3/3 tokens and instead 4 mana 4/4s. If you asked me how to fix the problems of Thunder of Hooves as a card, I'd show you Thundercloud Shaman. Now that's tribal payoff.

okay... that formatting hurts my eyes. WHAT IS WRONG just saying "G: Create a 1/1 [color-neutral] Human creature token. Play this ability only as a Sorcery."
Though, I don't know any other rule sets to this "Adventure" but still.

I think Treacherous Pit-Dweller has a higher upside with Homeward Path. Even if this gave your opponent one treasure it'd be pretty bad, and 4/3 isn't really a good payoff in return. In multiplayer giving two treasures to the person farthest behind can be pretty nice though.

Fountain of Renewal outperforms Tanglebloom on a lot of fronts, though I guess triggering your "Whenever you gain life blablabla" at instant speed instead of upkeep has its benefits. Sun Droplet gets you double triggers (Scales up with amount of players in the game as well) but costs more.

I also prefer this individual expressive style of art over the cohesive world building mandate of current Magic sets.

And that's a good question regarding the Shaman thing. Never really thought about, but good question.

I would probably try something with Thran Weaponry.
