I been doing some digging on the Internet and can't seem to find a current list of ways to get Blue/white Infinite mana. I'm trying to make a deck with those two colors and I need a lot of mana. I either need Infinite or something close to get a lot of mana. So I was wondering what are he best ways to achieve this??
I was thinking Gilded Lotus and something that could uptap it but I really don't want that many artifacts in my deck. The main idea is to use Ertai, Wizard Adept to counter everything that my oppentents played but then I can't seem to find a way to Untap him every time that I counter something. Which I'm then again forced to turn everything into an artifact in order to to Untap him or any other creature that I need to use here abilitys over and over every turn. I'm kinda stuck at that part and once I can fix that part everything else will fall in to place. So if you know of any ideas that would be helpful.
If you are going for "counter everything my opponents do" with infinite mana, then I suggest you use Painter's Servant (set to red), and Douse. When combined with any infinite blue mana engine (like the aforementioned Pili-PalaGrand Architect combo), you can counter all your opponent's spells. Add Azorius Guildmage to the mix and you can counter all of your opponent's activated abilities as well. This leaves them triggered abilities, things that can't be countered, and tapping for mana. You don't need any additional setup for untapping things or making them artifacts so that you can untap them.
Using the Pili-Pala engine also allows you to make infinite mana whenever you need it, as opposed to the Palinchron one (barring flash shenanigans). Just remember that you have to make Pili-Pala blue first to get it going. Additional Painter's Servants can be used to make your stuff blue, which works well with Grand Architect.
I will caution you though, this is not the kind of deck you play often. Nobody likes to play against hard lock decks, especially ones that can stop everything (and I mean everything) but triggered abilities. I would make sure you have a very quick win condition, because dragging out a locked down game with more then 2 people is not fun. Something like Blue Sun's Zenith would work (infinite mana and all). This would be a "play it every once in a while and only once a night" kind of deck if you build it right. Just my thoughts on the subject.
Tap Gold myr and Silver myr for and . Use one of these mana (or whatever you have remaining in you mana pool). to use Myr galvanizer's ability, to untap all myrs.
Then you tap you myrs for mana once again, Use the second myr galvanizer to untap once again (for either or or whatevever you have left in your mana pool).
LoL I for got to say that I'm putting Rings of Bearthheart is this deck. I didn't manage to find a few blue creatures to Untap creatures with and with the rings i can just Untap the same creature infinite times. As far as core cards I have a few if you add Serra Avatar, and a couple others ones. All ready had Azorius Guildmage in he deck. As far as mana goes I was still thinking of Gilded Lotus mainly cause of the fact Its less cards in he deck and that I can throw other cards to make this deck more fun. I'll post what I have in my deck In a couple of hours.
I plan on taking some of them out and switching out how I draw for cards like having [c]
Consecrated Sphinx[/c]. And since I play with a lot of people that have x4 of each card that would be able to use Leyline of Singularity to slow them down. Any other suggestions would be help full.
You're a good 35 cards short of a full deck here. Shed some light on what else you have in there. At least give us an idea of your manabase. I can already tell you you need to focus what you are doing. Whatever happened to your "counter all the spells" plan?
The whole Idea was to use Filigree Sages to Untap Puppet Strings while at he same time Untapping Gilded Lotus but i do like the Pemmin's Aura idea. Consecrated Sphinx is used to draw my deck out faster. I could always use some thing that could draw my whole deck but I want to give them somewhat of a chance. Since I'm going to be playing against artifacts I'm going to have Mizzium Transreliquat to destory any artifact with the Legendary rule. Along with a way to bring back that card. I do plan on putting a white creature that can raise its Defence of one plains and two colorless to block an additional creature. Can't think of the name of it is.
