I built this budget bant deck using creatures from the legacy version of the deck and budget alternatives to those creatures. I've played the deck in a couple of games against my friends' decks which includes UB Zombies, Tempered Steel, Red Deck Wins, and Mono-blue Control and my current record with the deck is 9-0. I hope you enjoy the list. Comments and constructive criticism is always welcome.
Only 15 sorceries/instants isn't enough to run delver of secrets. You'd need about half of your deck being instants/sorceries to have a significant chance of ever tranforming it, so i suggest you find a replacement for delver.
Also, wild nacatl without any mountains? He's not made for bant but for naya and you need duals to use him effectively...
I was operating with the cards I could dig out of my collection, but I'm planning on replacing delver of secrets once I get something I like more, which will most likely end up being Noble Hierarch or the pieces to the NO Progenitus combo. As for the Wild Nactl, despite it being built for Naya with it's ability, I enjoy it too much to not have included in the deck. I would switch it out for more suitable cards, but this will probably be when I get a couple copies of Counterbalance or even a couple copies of Spell Pierce. I should have made that clear in my first post. I apologize for not including the information. I do however thank you for pointing out the lack of sorceries and instants in my deck. Though I planned on replacing delver of secrets I hadn't noticed his lack of reliability. I could probably find something better than him by just digging around for a bit.

Mana Leak might work, but I've found that I tap out easily in the early turns and like having a quasi-free counter in those turns. I'll try switching it in for a couple of games. If either side becomes too difficult I'll just adjust my land base though so I can continue to use my copies of daze. I'd hate to just let them sit around.

Rhox War Monk is awesome, but I don't really get why you're playing any of the other creatures? As Ace1 pointed out Delver of Secrets might never transform, Quasali Ambusher may sometimes be a free creature but is really not very good, Vinelasher Kudzu seems very slow in a deck that hardly plays land acceleration and Wild Nacatl is a 2/2 for G at best, sometimes only a 1/1.
I am not familiar with the legacy deck, so this might just be the ramblings of a casual player, but I think my Bant deck is better:
This deck works very well and is fairly budget, especially if you replace Path to Exile with a counter or cheaper removal. It usually kills by turn 4-5. Peter Riviera posted a Bant deck on this forum a couple of days ago that also looked good.
You're playing a control deck with Bant colours, so Sinister and my decks won't be very helpful. I'll still link you to mine, but it's built around Shorecrasher Mimic. Here.
Ok on to the comments!
First, cut Cancel it's a pretty terrible counter, especially in a 3 colour deck. Same goes for Dissipate, but if you play against a lot of decks with recursion it might be useful. Mana Leak, Rune Snag, and Negate are all better. Rune Snag almost requires you to run 4, but the other 2 can be split up how you like.
To be honest, with all of your control elements i'd run a finisher like Jenara, Asura of War rather than your pseudo-aggro creatures. While you have mentioned that you really like Wild Nacatal, it will only ever be a conditional 2/2. I'd suggest running Elite Vanguard in its place because you'll always get 2 power for 1 mana that way. Qasali Ambusher is terrible, a 2/3 reach isn't going to swing the game in your favour, even if you get to cast it for free sometimes. Run Ambush Viper instead if you want combat tricks in a creature.
I have more comments, but I need to get back to work, I'll edit this post later.
