When this column originally ran, I purchased most of the cards on the list. I never finished it, and it's irked me since. I took a long hiatus from the game, and have recently returned. I found the cards I purchased tucked away in another room, and would like to finish the construction. I assume over the years in my absence there have been multiple cards printed that would improve upon this list from 5+ years ago. I was hoping I could garner some suggestions and brainstorm with everyone here. For example, I have read Ornithopter is a solid suggestion.
While I understand there are always cards that make any deck better (Tutors, Dark Ritual, etc.), I wish to maintain very ninja like flavor to the deck. Lastly, I am looking to keep the budget reasonable, as it would only be used strictly for casual. Please forgive the blatant asking for help without more suggestions of my own; I am just learning about all the new sets. I've searched through the forums some before making my own thread, and I'll continue to do so. I'd be very appreciative of anyone's suggestions.
Let me point you out to the right direction :). Legacy & Pauper magic have both a decklist that is based on the same principle based upon the synergy of Ninja of the Deep Hours and Spellstutter Sprite. To keep up the flavor and get the max out of it you might want to check this (do not mind its competetive - most cards are cheap)
Here is a budget option...the Ninja presence is essential, you can tweak it in any way, I think its a start. Faeries provide control and open up the road for your Ninjas.
Personally, casual_aspect had a decent deck idea. However, I must say that Higure, the Steel Wind is MANDATORY for a ninja deck. Guaranteed unblockable and guaranteed a ninja that you need? I'd take that.
Finally, I think that adding a taste of counter spells is better than faeries. (Counter spells self-explanatory.)
So in the end, you'd have be able to ninjutsu multiple times with unblockables and flyings, and get rid of those annoying creatures with your counterspells.
