Plainly, I just get trounced with this deck. I feel like I have too many mana fixers. I added in Naturalize because I was getting stomped by enchants/artifacts, but then that takes up spots I could be using towards more aggro based cards. I'm unsure what to play as far as 2/3 drops in the deck.
I'm basically at a loss as to what to do. I feel like if I do get the chance for the effect on Pattern of Rebirth to happen it is sort of wasted since Thorn Elemental is good, but not as devastating as some of the ridiculously strong green creatures. Suggestions there would be great.
I'm pretty much looking for this to be a quick win aggro deck. And it's shaping up pretty sadly so far. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
There are so many choices for a mono green aggro deck that I'm not going to make any aggro creature suggestions. It's a matter of using what you like and choosing from a huge pile of possibilities.
However, you can definitely change some things...
First, Naturalize is handy at times, but it can also be a dead card. We never want that in an aggro deck...so creature based enchantment/artifact destruction is key. We have 3 contenders: Viridian Zealot, Indrik Stomphowler, and Wickerbough Elder. All of them are very cheap price wise and shouldn't be a problem to find. Of them all if you want the cheapest I'd recommend the Wickerbough Elder. If you want to have some synergy with your Pattern of Rebirth, then of course you can consider the Viridian Zealot. It depends really...do you want quick destruction or destruction later?
Also, I'd take Defiant Elf out and replace it with a better creature...again there are tons and tons of options if you search the Gatherer on the official magic site.
And lastly, if you're not satisfied with Thorn Elemental as a creature you're fetching, just substitute any big creature you've ever wanted to play. Remember that Pattern of Rebirth fetches any creature, no matter the color. So if you have some huge, multicolored creatures...just put some in if you want. I have a deck that does this...mind you it's backed up with cards like Elvish Piper just in case you draw it...but cards that you would never play in a monocolored deck like Magister Sphinx and Malfegor are great surprises.
Too much mana! 24 land is a tremendous amount, especially for a deck without a lot of big-cost spells. You also have 8 mana fetchers and 3 single-mana producers. As a recommendation for creatures, Grizzly Fate is amazing, as is Troll Ascetic and Blurred Mongoose. This is a thread I have had for a while on my Green aggro/control deck. Although you probably don't have 4 Tarmogoyf, Garruk Wildspeaker could be a nice replacement for Wood Elves.
Temple of the False God seems like it would work against you. Green Aggro decks tend to run really really fast and a dead land like Temple in the beginning would just waste a slot. Get some low mana - medium costing creatures: that are big like the ones mentioned above. Troll or kodama make good beat sticks.
4 Heart Warden
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Thorn Elemental
1 Skyshroud Ridgeback
4 Weatherseed Treefolk
2 Defiant Elf
2 Giant Growth
4 Strength of the Cedars
4 Naturalize
4 Kodama's Reach
3 Pattern of Rebirth
4 Temple of the False God
20 Forest

Next...I see you're using Strength of Cedars. However, your mana acceleration depends on creatures that add mana, instead of creatures that advance your land. If you insist on using Strength of Cedars, I suggest cards like Civic Wayfinder, Farhaven Elf, Krosan Tusker, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Yavimaya Elder and etc. There are tons of options here.

Casual:
RG - Elemental Aggro
WGR - Slivers
GW - Cat Equipment
G - CIP Combo
Kodama of the North Tree or even Plated Slagwurm
And of these, I definitely prefer KotNT, despite his 'you-shroud'. He just comes out so much faster and just pwns.
