Hi, everyone. I'm a newer player to official magic events and could use your help with sideboard strategy.
I've purchased the Mono Black Aggro deck below following a 4-0 daily winning deck built by xZippy.
Please critique my sideboard plan vs. the current meta
So, here is what I was thinking for SB strategy against the current meta decks:
Reanimator
+4 Dark Betrayal (cheap black removal)
+1 Erebos, God of the Dead (stop Whip life gain)
+2 Nighthowler (capitalize on graveyard pile-up)
+2 Whip of Erebos
-4 Agent of Fates
-2 Bile Blight
-3 Tormented Hero
Mono B Aggro Mirror
+4 Dark Betrayal
+2 Nighthowler
+3 Pharika’s Cure
+2 Read the Bones (speed boost for the aggro race)
Any advice particularly on the reanimator matchup? I'm wondering if it might be better to keep the Agent of Fates and skip siding in the Dark Betrayals.
With your list, I would probably go with -2 bile blight, +2 whip, -2 hero's downfall, -1 agent of fates, +1 Erebos, +2 nighthowler/read the bones. The matchup is very tricky, and the games you win are where you are one creature ahead of their removal all the time. I would try to just not bother with sphinx or elspeth, and just make your deck very fast, with ways to rebuy some creatures or threats. Always bestow if possible due to the pseudohaste the creatures provide you. Also try not to just lose on the spot to drown in sorrow if you can play around it.
Thank you for the tips. Since there isn't a lot of removal in the Esper deck and Whip works against Nighthowler, I'll side in Read the Bones for more speed instead of Nighthowler.
I had limited success with Bile Blight in clearing Elspeth tokens which is why I originally kept them in.

Thanks for your help.
I'm now thinking about siding out -2 Agent of Fate and -2 Boon of Erebos, siding in +2 Nighthowler and +2 Whip of Erebos.
It finally hit me that Agent of Fate has decent power vs. Prognostic Sphinx - - if Elspeth tokens are not out.
Also, I figured Gild would be useless vs. the Sphinx's hexproof ability.
Your thoughts?
