As it was pointed out this list wasn't posted anywhere, but it's a pretty well known deck. I played this when block was first released online and it's rather fun. People know how to combat it, but it can steal wins.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Thassa doesn't impact the board immediately. Not sure about Soldier. It might have been a choice against UG since the only thing it really hits in GR is Polis Crusher or Xenagos Tokens.
This version is a little more defensive than the version I tried.

The Tritons are critical - - your deck is heavy on heroic (power-up on target) and this spell will power up two of your creatures as an instant.
So, this can be used in blocks, during attacks, or when getting hit with a red burn spell to keep your creature alive.
Not the triton tactics, the wavecrash tritons.

Ok, for the Wavecrash Tritons, those are going to be critical against the decks with big monsters - - - RG, WRG, and BRG. Since WU is a Heroic Aggro deck, you need a way to handle big blockers to keep your momentum for the finishing move.
I'm having a really hard time dealing with mono black... It's almost like they have all the answers! And if you don't have the gods will or the tactics, then you're screwed.
What do you board in against it?
I don't see what's difficult about mono black. You do need to play smart, and not just throw out important creatures without some sort of protection, but they have only one card which interracts well with most of your board (hero's downfall) and then a bunch of cards which are highly inconsistent. The deathtouchers are ok, but lose to cavalry pegasus, fabled hero and any favored hoplite pump. Pharika's cure is ok, but loses to triton tactics or any pump. Even if they stabilise (which requires multiple hero's downfall, and hoping they don't get countered by god's willing), they are often dead to any topdecked aqueous form. The only card in the mono black deck which can really pull out a win for them is whip of erebos, and only then if they're able to maintain board position. Multiple heroic triggers on agent of fates triggers can do it too, which is a good reason to attack into him at any point where you will trade with it (gray merchant is another reason to offer up trades early and often).
I speak from having played the other side of the matchup on many occasions - it does not feel favourable at all. The mono black deck right now simply has too few actual removal spells to deal with the agressive decks of the format reliably.
Also, I agree with you re: agent of forms, it's better than wavecrash imo.
Anyone? I'm testing 2 cavalry pegasus on the sideboard against mono black, instead of the two phalanx leader...
I would really appreciate someone to answer...
Why would you pull those, just because it's a 2 drop? When I tested this deck right after the beginning of the block I had 3 MD, but I wasn't playing Triton Tactics which seems to be the more common answer now.
Have you tried them?

My guess is that they are mostly for Sylvan caryatid. Most Mono B stuff is removed with them as well, but since they do most of their damage ETB it's kind of a pointless spell.

Ugh. This deck's matchup vs Mono B probably just got a lot worse when they have improved Infest.

So, I've been testing various lists and I've noticed that Dauntless Onslaught is really good. Why isn't anyone playing this card..?
Also, the Ordeal cards seem very underwhelming to me. Can anyone make a good case for them?
Gives critters permanent pumps. Thassa which more and more people are shedding was used to give gas. The 10 life off Heliod is kind of useless for this type of deck since normally you want to be the beatdown.
Of course if your guys get removed the auras go too.

Yeah, the Heliod is crap IMO. The Blue one seems like it would be nice to get a bit of card advantage. I'll test it. But seriously Dauntless Onslaught is a beast in this deck.
It can be a cheap dual-function card - - free pump of a 2/2 Heroic creature or above. Or, the obvious use of the health buff.
I feel compelled to sideboard it somewhere - - I'm thinking against mono black so I can exploit the utility function (pump if needed or +4 health if hit by Deathtouch).
The only reason I didn't include the Hero of Iroas is because most of our enchants are already low cast, 1U or 1W. Even our Bestow cards aren't that bad on cost. I think Hero might be a replacement for Soldier of the Pantheon.
As for the Ghostblade Eidolon that does cost to much for the bestow to work with it.

This is definitely the cheapest competitive deck in block at the moment. I've seen a few versions with Brimaz (like the one posted above) but it seems like most people, at least on MTGO, don't run with it even in the sideboard. Here's a list that went 4-0 a few days ago in a block constructed daily on MTGO
Hi! I'm trying out this deck, and of all the list i've seen I've never understood why the 1x of Hopeful eidolon!
I mean, if it's strong move it to 4x otherwise drop it!
It helps the deck race against other faster decks in the mid game. You wouldnt want to have multiples of it in your starting hand because its so much weaker compared to say favored hoplite and other one drops

Nah, you'll just have to board in counters. No biggie.
