So, i'm interessed on starting to play block constructed and i'd like to know how is the current metagame of the format, by current metagame i'd like to know:
- The most popular decks of the format
- Decks to beat
- Cards that define or that shines the current meta
- Other important informations which you guys believe that it's good for someone who is new to that format.
You need to have game vs sphinx's revelation decks and mono red decks.
You need cheap cards or sweepers to answer mono red decks. You need to card advantage or a fast clock to beat sphinx's revelation decks.
To a lesser extent there's jund aggro and RWB(borzohv) decks.
Ajarn gave you some links to show a more detailed breakdown.
Guildgates are secretly horrendous in this format. If you play more than 4 expect your mono red match up to go down for each gate you add. Its why there are no consistently successful 2 color aggro decks, if you play a guild gate at the wrong time you just lose. Mono red is just faster/better than these 2 color aggro decks despite not having access to dreadbore or boros charm. Keyrunes are also bad.
Most midrange decks play 3 colors which means they have to play 8 guildgates (unless they're base green for gatecreeper vine). Midrange decks don't really have the card advantage or the clock to beat sphinx's revelation decks. Vraska the unseen is comically awful. And if you play a bunch of 5-6 drops they'll just get countered.
Jund aggro tries to break this trend, but it's just a bad mono red deck. It needs to curve out vs revelation decks or it just loses. It has a harder time curving out because of the guildgates and because it's pretty mana intensive and might not have access to the right color combination. You give the opponent more time to draw supreme verdict.
Borzhov fills an interesting niche in the meta. It tries to beat mono red with a bunch of 2 mana removal spells then sweep if needed with aurelia's fury. Then it tries to beat revelation decks with 4 rakdos's return and 4 Obzedat, Ghost Council. But again these expensive cards just get countered. But Borzhov does have the sideboard strategy of bringing in 4 slaughter games, which isn't always effective.
Keep in mind this meta will only hold for a month.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
As people have stated UWX, WBR, WBG, Mono red, and Jund aggro are the dominant decks.
Mono red has made alot of great decks that could beat the other decks easily, unplayable. But those rogue decks can 3-1 dailies too since mono red's biggest enemy is thier own inconsistency that comes with playing 18-19 lands, however when it works, it's pretty much unbeatable. UWX decks have the best games against them, but they have bad games against wbr, with bant having a better game against them. So it's a meta similar to standard in that there isn't a best deck, rather each deck has a bad matchup and a good one. Then you have WBG which is descent against everything, but not amazing against any of them.
Cards that you need to consider when building a deck for this format are:
Firefist striker and burning tree emmisary from mono red.
Armada wurm and Loxodon Smiter from bant.
Aurelia's fury and rakdos return from UWR.
All UWX decks play sphinx's revelation, supreme verdict, and angel of serenity.
And any deck that can support him plays Boros reckoner, same thing with obzedat ghost council.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
