Didn't even know that lgs' have block tournaments. That's pretty cool.
Well, beating slaughter games shouldn't be a huge problem unless you're playing u/w, in which case you're screwed, since if you lose your angels you might as well concede.
But it's somewhat easy for other decks. Just run 2-3 win cons. I use 3 currently, and haven't had an issue with slaughter games yet.
My biggest concern against the WBR deck is rakdos's return. So I run counters.
The bwr deck was built to beat aggro and control, however if you play control and run multiple threats it's alot harder for them to win. And for some reason a few of them have been losing to mono red, I'm assuming it's because they need to get the right cards at the right time to catch up to their blistering starts, honestly if you stumble once you're dead.
You also have to look at thier deck and see what they can and can't deal with. For instance, their only removal is mizzium mortars, dreadbore, and aurelia's fury. The only way they can kill obzedat is with fury, and even if they get it they have to pay 7 to kill him. They usually just end up playing their own and letting them both die. It's hard for them to deal with creatures that are x/5+ because at that point they only have dreadbore. This is why g/b does pretty well against them, because they have the troll and deadbridge. So creatures like that, desecration demon, alms beast, armada wurm, even wright of precinct six and consuming abberation are extremely difficult for them to deal with.
Online, people have figured out how to beat them, so they don't end up in the money as much as they did when the deck first came out. I think that mono red is a MUCH bigger threat.
If you post a list we can give more specific advise.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
Thank for the tips guys. I'm still having trouble with that though D:.
Im using u/w with counters, charms, enchantments, sphinx, jace, verdict and archons and lyev skyknights as threats.
Should i SB more creatures against BWR?
The deck I'm constantly losing to has Desecration Demon, Obzedat, Slaughter Games, Rakdos' Return, Dreadbore and some Extort Creatures. It's mostly creature intensive.
My question is: Which kinds of decks can actually hold against Slaughter games (my main concern), Extort and Rakdos' return?
I haven't been able to win a single time with any archetype.
Since you cant get hexproof on you currently, is block just doomed to get their win conditions exiled by Slaughter games?
Thanks in advance
what deck(s) are you playing?
