So, I had been working on getting another control deck up and running and I really liked the continuous growing Skullbriar from the stance that he keeps growing throughout the game and getting more powerful as a threat. I happen to own a lot of REALLY nice lands and it seemed possibly fun to do some sort of a utility lands control build given that green has so much access to tutoring lands and putting them in play not to mention bringing them back. I considered the idea of pushing for big mana via things like Cabal Coffers too but I figured that fixing early for my commander + running all these utility lands probably put a lot of reliance on Uraborg so I decided for now to pass on trying to do big mana coffers things especially given how cheap and fast my commander is upfront.
Overall this list is still really rough but overall I was trying to avoid slow value over time and or investing too much time and resources in trying to put counters on my commander. The goal of this deck is first and foremost a control deck and I plan to blow everything up frequent enough that I am trying to not go in super deep with things like Hardened Scales which take time to recover their investment not to mention put more of a voltron feel on the commander. I wanted a control shell and so I was hoping to just send in my commander and let him do his thing in a lot of cases.
I am still not at 100 cards. I built the list IRL first and so my list might be off a bit but I am looking to see if anyone has any suggestions that I feel I need to make to the list I guess.
Interesting thoughts on Skullbriar. I've been starting to put a list together for him myself recently (though, I wanted the opposite - going more Voltron/Infect).
I love Primeval Bounty. A card I always want to play, but find hard justifying.
Since you're going with the Lands-matter theme, perhaps you could toss in the Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage to get a Marit Lage out occasionally. I hear 20/20 Flying, Indestructible creatures are pretty good. Would synergize well with any of the P/T matters cards listed.
Also, Isochron Scepter. With one or two more Instant removal spells, you'd have a nice package for it.
