I went a bit overboard, and am having a lot of difficulty trying to cut this deck down to size. Any help is appreciated!
The deck is organized by a card's primary function, but there are times when they can serve many purposes, such as Attrition helping both removal as well as being a sac outlet. (Lands are being worked on at the moment, just going through to see what I own first)
This has been going for a while and should be a good resource. You have a lot of slow cards in there, I'd advise cutting some cards with no etb impact and higher cost cards above all else, you can do a lot with a low curve with mazz, his ability is broad enough where you can play a low curve but still swing hard. I've personally been working with a lot of the artifacts he has synergy with- there's a lot to the thread I'd advise looking into.

I concur; you're mana curve is too high. I played similar cards that were too expensive and found that they didn't help at all. When I slimmed down my deck it made such a huge difference. If you want a very, very low mana curve, artifacts is the way to go. If you still want to have a more face-smashing route, you can add creatures with a lower mana cost.
I know we've both been very general as to which changes you should make, but as Welgo so graciously linked, that thread has a very in-depth discussion as to what can be done with Mazirek and how difficult it is to actually build around. Difficult in the sense of there being so many cards you could fit into the deck that it's very hard to choose which ones to add/cut!
