Hello again, folks! This is the second in a series of ten decklists based on characters from the Legend of Zelda series. This time we focus on the titular princess herself, Zelda.
Zelda is associated with the Triforce virtue of Wisdom. In Magic, wisdom is often associated with card draw. Zelda's also known to wield various magics, mostly of a protective nature. For Zelda's deck, the two main themes are enchantments and card draw. Most of the enchantments focus on slowing the opponent down and inhibiting their ability to act.
Since Zelda is a princess, it makes sense that she also has some Knights and Soldiers to protect her, not to mention Walls. And seeing as Zelda's become well-known for her archery skills, the deck has a few Archers and Bows both for dealing with incoming threats and for pinging your opponent's health away.
I am considering switching this over to a Rauru deck focusing on flickering, suspend, and extra turn spells, but I want Zelda to get a deck since Link and Ganondorf both get one. Perhaps I can also make a Rauru deck? Or should I try and combine the two into a Zelda deck that focuses more on flickering and time manipulation?

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I am liking the list and am looking forward to building it. But I am only counting 99 cards including commander.
Quite right. The decklist is in flux, and I could either add that 100th card or possibly remove some and add others. I welcome any suggestions for either.
The current list doesn't play well to Hanna's strengths as there are hardly any saccable artifacts or enchantments, making her activated ability largely just anti-removal insurance.
