Why did you have to post this? I just went on a nice little rant on why I dislike this card and now I see a guy who I know isnt a bad player at all using the darn thing......
Sell me on why Jori En is good. I think that its meh, but making the ability how I'd want it to be would be extremely beyond broken.
Drawing cards from the command zone is good. Commanders that cost 3 are good. Ones that do both are excellent IE edric. Like edric it wants cheap spells one drops things that are already good so it has synergy with things I already want to be doing. Unlike nin it's set it and forget and it does its job on its own as you play acting like a better phyrexian arena that your garunteed to have at the start of the game. It often cantrips the turn you lay it. It wants cantrips I think I play like 11-12 and it makes them very powerful the curve and these cantrips let me play a lower land count. The bottom line is for a investment of 3 mana I stand to draw double digit cards and gradually allowing me to make use of all of them. I have only been playing my deck a few days it's still unfinished but has felt excellent as well as fun. I don't know how well it would transition to multiplayer as I haven't found the best way to finish my games that would work in that setting as my general strategy is a very 1v1 focused tempo control based plan.
This is very similar to a Jori brew I ran for a while, except I had a handful of lightning bolt variants and worked my deck to be 50% instant speed, so I can counter+burn my way through my deck on the opponents turn. It used sphinx-bone wand or an overloaded mizzix's mastery as a final win instead of the storm cards.
The week I spent playtesting my brew I found that the tempo from the early disruption was usually all it took to win with when finding a runechanter's pike for Jori to attack with.
I like the idea of adding your storm cards, since it would most likely lock in a win after overloading mizzix's mastery.
But to be completely honest I would have to bring up the concept of Jori's place in the world. IMO she really is not optimal to pilot what this deck is trying to do.
Interesting who is ? mtgo is not very good competition but im something like 25-2 with the deck so far and im not even close to feeling like im done editing it. in fact the more i play it the less i feel like it needs many win condition slots other than the storm package. honestly a temporal fissure for 4-6 is stupidly easy to get off and plays like a one sided sunder that my opponents cant often recover from. maybe my sample size is to small but the number of times ive been able to land jori turn 2 and cantrip the turn i lay her has been on the high side. ill upload some more replays the decks is super fun to play lots of lines of play.
I considered empty the warrens but just like labman or any other true kill card its just horrible at any other time and unlike dedicated combo i cannot consistently break it and fast so having a dead card not only hurts me more here but its less important. I rarely want to make a tap out play like empty if its not game ending or if i don't have too. talrand simply costs too much at 4 i would love more young pyromancers but that is because they cost 2. Im not having too much trouble closing out games it takes longer yes but that just makes jori better drawn out interactive games favor me. The only games im losing is where my opponent gains early tempo this is normally from going first and playing cards like sol ring/ mana crypt/sylvan library or something like that turn 1-2 and getting to a point where i must answer them on the turn i want to play jori. For example i played a match vs mealstrom wanderer where i got stomped on the draw and he got stomped when i was on the play granted both times the player on the play had the better hand the turn order did play a large factor. I think I have only lost maybe 1 game going first so far but i still have less than 50 games played and every other opponent is not very good or quits when its not clearly over etc. I cant stop playing the deck though the playstyle is stupidly fun in fact i made a delver deck for modern on mtgo with jori just to mess around im enjoying her ability so much and i typically hate modern. She is a sweet card im goign to start working on a way to transition this to multiplayer ASAP because its a play style as addictive as storm is . What i always liked about storm is how many lines of play i get the control i feel i get in how my games play out and i get that playing this but from a more controlling perspective.
First i have not updated the OP but i have made quite a few changes to this deck since then. Yes even without those very good card i cmc 3 commander that draws cards in blue should be very good in 1:1 even in french. Im not sure exactly what it would look like as i grind and tweak most my decks and while i normally have a good idea its my grinding and fine tuning that makes them great and mtgo does not support that format and my friends don't play it so i would just suggest testing it out for yourself. all the same basic principles should apply.

Thought about mixing this deck with a classical Nin list (inf. Mana + Goblin Cannon/BSZ) for MP.
