This deck is built around the compleated version of the old EDH favourite, Ezuri, Renegade Leader:

This is a deck that was quickly thrown together based on a fairly straightforward strategy: build a creature-heavy deck that can quickly rack up the experience counters in order to push through damage with various forms of (pseudo-)evasion while keeping yourself going through forms of card advantage that work well with creatures with high power and/or +1/+1 counters. 26 of the deck's creatures generate counters by themselves. The deck is built to be 'fair', giving opponents plenty of chances to respond and avoiding infinite loops/combos. I'll update this thread more later.
Sprout Swarm and Khalni Garden may be a little too inefficient but I'll definitely consider Mycoloth and the Eldrazi token generators. Thopter Foundry isn't legal with Ezuri as my commander. Whirler Rogue is definitely a very strong card for my strategy though, three experience counters and another form of evasion.
No Champion of Lambholt to help get past creatures? She makes it pretty easy with Ezuri pumping her full of counters. And Fertilid is great for ramping quickly. Bramblewood Paragon will add a 3rd trample enabler with +1/+1 counters plus Ezuri is a warrior as a bonus.
"When it dies" is a deal breaker to me. Ezuri should ramp up counters asap, not wait for something additional to happen. Chasm Skulker requires too much work to be worthwhile.
Yeah but its a nice backup plan for board wipes(which happens pretty often in EDH), same could be said with Hangarback Walker. Plus you should always have some sort of Sac card in each deck. not just for these two cards but it helps prevent others from taking your stuff or even Exiling them

Thopter FoundryFoundry of the Consuls, Whirler Rogue, From Beyond, and Awakening Zone are also fine cards to consider.It's something I used in Animar pretty effectively, and you can always bounce a different creature of yours at any point.
