I've been playing commander with Momir Vig as my general for close to five years, in part because I'm too cheap to build another deck, in part because I'm a horrible person who enjoys crushing the hopes and dreams of others. In that time, I've set various restrictions for myself, such as no buying singles for the deck (broke that once to get free shipping from ChannelFireball), no infinite combos (there's one in there, but I never use it and no one else sees it), and most recently no noncreature spells. It's a casual deck, but it has the potential for powerful starts, and with enough mana it has an answer to nearly any situation. Let me know what you think!
I'm a horrible person who enjoys crushing the hopes and dreams of others ... It's a casual deck
What? I don't understand, do you want the deck to be good or just fun? Do you want suggestions? Do you want constructive criticism or praise? Or are you just looking to strike up a conversation? lol. I have a few suggestions but if you like your deck the way it is and aren't looking to optimize it, then I'll just leave it at this:
It is "just for fun", but I'm always on the lookout for new cards that I haven't seen or haven't considered. I try to optimize it within my parameters, and if it ends up too strong for my playgroup I set another deck building limitation. I am open to suggestions, questions, criticism or praise.
When I say that I enjoy crushing the hopes and dreams of others, I mean that I don't mind a general that tends towards repetitive board states, time consuming plays, and convoluted counterspell locks. I don't care whether I win every time, because my deck has exciting moments even when it loses.
