I need help with my Vela the Night Clad deck. Naturally, the idea is to abuse ETB/LTB effects and while the deck started off with ninjutsu, I have since replaced some of the weaker ninjas for more powerful cards and effects. I also wanted to make use of our commander's second ability and go beyond the nifty Rite of Replication combo. To do this, I added Abhorrent Overlord and Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder, both of which can produce massive amounts of tokens which can then be sac'd to any one of our free sac outlets for constant significant damage. And since I'm running a fair amount of these outlets, I went ahead and included Chainer, Dementia Master and Dralnu, Lich Lord - their abilities are very powerful and the deck should be able to work around their drawbacks with relative ease.
Like many dimir decks, the deck wants to take advantage of our opponent's resources but I didn't want to build a dedicated mill deck. Instead, I decided to run the wheel effects to get cards into the GY which I can later steal or abuse with Memory Plunder, Wrexial, the Risen Deep, Puppeteer Clique,Havengul Lich, Sepulchral Primordial, etc. While not a dedicated combo deck, Altar of the Brood works nicely when abusing the token producers mentioned above. It can also serve as an infinite mill engine with Cloud of Faeries + Deadeye Navigator on the field. Add Vela, and we can kill the whole table by flicking the faeries in and out play.
My only problem with the list so far is that it seems to lack card draw and while the strategies seem to overlap, it could still be more focused. I really like the idea of running Dralnu, Chainer and the wheel effects in here and I'm thinking about shifting to a more controlly build by replacing some of the creatures with more draw, digging, and killing. What do you guys think?
Cool deck! I don't have any experience with a dimir general, but if you're looking for some good card draw, I suggest you consider Phyrexian Arena, Necropotence, and Rhystic Study. Good luck!

Dictate even allows you to continuously restock your opponents' hands so you can force them to discard more. Dictate of Kruphix + Notion Thief is insanely fun. Make sure to have a Reliquary Tower!
