Anafenza, the Foremost has become a strong dual and tiny leader commander and I am looking to make this deck a competitive multiplayer general. Her last ability is the part of her that makes this general a strong general, essentially making any board wipe or destroy effects to exile all your opponents creatures. It also hoses graveyard shenanigans and combo strategies. The reason why I don't include much of a counter theme in my deck is because her first ability looks kinda small for what it does in a multiplayer setting, but I have not yet tried her out as a counter general yet so I could be wrong. I also do not want to make this a soldier tribal deck since I am personally not very fond of tribal decks, they seem to easy to fall apart.
Some of my friends said that Anafenza felt that she only counters graveyard shenanigans, otherwise she is pointless to have as your general. One of them suggested me to replace her with Karador, Ghost Chieftain if I would like to create a good stuff deck. I replaced her with Karador for a game and felt that I would have to change my entire deck to be based around self-milling myself, which was something I do not want to build around. I then played with another group and they felt that both creatures were strong as a general (although they did not believe that Anafenza exiles creatures my opponents control if she dies with them in a board wipe, I shrugged my shoulders and went on with the game).
Should I include more +1+1 counter shenanigans? or should I focus on playing a hate bear style deck, locking out my opponents options while playing big creatures after big creature? Should I include more combo's into the deck? or do I stick with playing a good stuff style deck? Is Anafenza just a very good creature that doesn't have to be built around at all similar to how Sen Triplets and Jenara, Asure of War as strong independent general that can just played the best cards in those colours?
