So what if Feldon isn't actually talking about ol' Lorna or whateverher nameis but instead one of these lovely ladies:
Kidding aside, I generally enjoy using and abusing the graveyard, and like the feel of mono-red so I was excited to see a powerful reanimator ability on Feldon of the Third Path. I decided to start by scrapping the artifact theme of the precon, just to see where things would go without that limitation. The first revision of the deck was a very top-heavy glass cannon reanimator deck that played every looting effect available to rush out a big dragon from the yard as soon as possible. While this version can often go into that mode, it is more focused on getting value from ETB creatures early game and then spamming them and some fatties later on.
Let's start with the deck:
The funny thing that has happened as I tuned and streamlined the deck from its early versions is that I have ended back up with 25 or so artifacts, but with little support. The big problem with the deck, and maybe with Feldon, is that it draws a bit more attention from the table than it deserves. This is mainly because people will look at your yard with a couple value critters and a big dragon and think of it as if it is your board "he could hit me with any of those things, let's get him boys!" Meanwhile often your board is looking a little lean and you are not very well able to defend yourself. While the deck is decent and can certainly pull off some strong plays, I think it needs a bit of an overhaul and I am hoping you can help.
Should I:
- Keep tinkering with it as is, maybe try out some light artifact support like goblin welder/trading post/summoner's egg. Maybe a little defense like Silent Arbiter or Crawlspace? What to cut for these?
- Try and work in a goblin theme to get a few extra tutors and maybe another combo or two?
- Scrap it and go whole hog artifact reanimator, probably with Dareti as general instead?
- Get a mana crypt and imperial recruiter before posting on the forums, NOOB!
Feldon's a great general if you're able to protect your graveyard. You need to have things like Witchbane Orb - not being able to target you means helping you against graveyard hate the likes of Tormod's Crypt and non-global graveyard wipes. Giving Feldon haste is a must - or at least with broken cards like Hammer of Purphoros. Combine that with Crucible of Worlds and you always got a chump blocker. If anything else, then as fuel for Goblin Welder and Daretti, Scrap Savant. Unfortunately, R doesn't have much to deal with all the hate. You gotta go big and strong - and really fast. However, there are many other artifacts to help you: Null Brooch puts your hand into the graveyard and you're able to counter a spell. I got it in mt Daretti deck. Pretty effin' sweet. Also, if people start to hate on you, then just take them out (along with everything else) via all the "deals X damage to all creatures and players" red spells. You can also use Nevinnyral's Disk. You can also have an awesome combo to really survive the hate: gaining a ton of life by using Heartless Hidetsugu and giving him lifelink with all manner of artifacts. There's a couple of ways to sidestep all-round table hate due to a reanimating commander. Just remember: go big and go fast yet always keep an ace up your sleeve for when you run out of steam. Earthquake and Rolling Earthquake are good for that.

Thanks! Null Brooch is something I was considering when I added in Bottled Cloister, I should probably give it a try. I haven't had a ton of trouble with grave hate, I think mostly because I am running enough actual draw/wheels that I can still play from my hand pretty effectively if I have to. Mostly the negative attention that is causing problems has been either just outright killing me, or else effectively keeping Feldon off the board, and then outright killing me. So I guess that means Swiftfoot Boots should go in alongside lightning Greaves, they are just so boring to cram into every deck. I like Hartless Hidetsugu in general, but not sure I want to dilute this deck with enough lifelink equipment to reliably assemble the combo, something to consider.
So the list of things I want to try in here ASAP looks something like this:
Any other ideas? Any ideas on what to cut? I don't love Ashnod's Altar in this list, but I want to make sure I have enough sac outlets, so will probably cut it for High Market. The deck would probably like another land considering they are easy enough to pitch in a flood. I could probably live without Scuttling Doom Engine since it is just damage, I guess Anger could go for boots, what else?
In my signature you can find a link to my Daretti EDH deck that is chocked full of artifacts. I also use Feldon in that deck much to the dismay of my opponents. Scuttling Doom Engine is broken to no end. It can't be chump blocked and if you give it trample or any kind of evasion, you just took 12 life away from someone - nothing to scoff at. Just how broken is Scuttling Doom Engine? If you're able to untap Feldon again (I see you're running the 1,000-Year Elixir), you can basically get 2 Scuttling Doom Engine tokens into play for 4R. They automatically die at the end of the turn so you don't need to sac them.
Burnished Hart, Duplicant, Steel Hellkite, and Wurmcoil Engine are all broken (and you've included them). I suggest adding all of the Mirrodin plane swords as well. They're broken because of their abilities but they also give protection from colors. White and black is good protection to have being as most removal is of those colors.

Myr Battlesphere can give you a few more blockers and a great way to get some damage through pillow forts and protected walkers. The more turns you target him and your previous myr tokens survive, the stronger it is, even more so when your doubling the ability. One swings dealing Five, two swing twenty, three swing forty five. It can get crazy
