Apparently there's been some demand for my rendition of Weissman's "The Deck" by the Community here, so I figured I would finally give it it's own thread. Maybe at a later point in time, I will give this the Primer write-up it needs but for now, just it's own thread will do.

How do you usually mulligan with this deck? Since you're light on counterspells and removal, I assume you value discard highly?
I do. I generally snipe their planeswalkers or cards I can't afford to let resolve, while relying on my Zeniths to bring me to the mid game where my CA engines can take over. Although I wouldn't consider this deck as having light removal. Taking another look...man, I guess I just rely on Tabernacle and Maze.
So are the Zeniths really consistent enough for your midgame, even with an excellent shuffle? I still stumble when I think how little control the shell actually other than the cheapest counterspells, a bit of spot removal, and some discard. A prime example would be Engineered Explosives, which is hitting no better than their cheapest smallest permanents, and in that case, how many do you often hit?
What about Spell Crumple, Hinder, and friends? What about good ol' Murder, or Lightning Bolt, or Flame Javelin?

I've liked the Zeniths a lot yeah. Red Sun for 1 beats their mana dork, or later on exiles a bigger threat. Black Sun/Damnation keeps a board under control while we set up Planeswalkers to begin the CA war. Blue Sun is the clunkiest at 3+ cmc, but I've found it's fine to "cycle" it for 1 and then draw it later. Still, the key control card is The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale.
Engineered Explosives hits 0 - 3 cmc cards, as needed. This means it can knock out token swarms, mana dorks, and midrange threats. It's not going to beat bombs but that's fine because it's not designed to.
I remember a Xenagos deck I played against, which I was afraid of because of the inbuilt haste. But this deck kept it offline, despite strong top decks from him/her. I think I beat it via JtMS when they were on two in hand.
Flame Javelin would be unacceptable because RRR is very hard for us.

Yup. Tabernacle + Maze of Ith means swarms are unsustainable, but large threats get blanked too.
