So I have a pretty competitive/ large group of friends who enjoy games of 4 to 6 person commander. I've been building a bant flicker deck and had some new ideas I plan on testing out. The basic premise of the deck is to do as much as it possibly can and eventually Psychosis Crawler for the win using Prime Speaker Zegana and Deadeye Navigator to draw my self out. The strength comes from the relentless onslaught of threats and the multiple means of achieving its end goal. The deck lists is as follows:
although it has many backups and workarounds if those 4 cards are removed.
The land base is pretty ordinary (if anyone wants to see that I can add it in.) So if anyone has any suggestions on anything I could improve/ change I would GREATLY appreciate the help. Again this is meant to be a very competitive deck and it is meant to fight 4 to 6 players. As of right now it tends to lock the board down and take its good ol' time gaining life, searching its library, countering spells, and drawing cards before it eventually decides to win. Right now I notice it's biggest weakness is to cruel control.
It will be easier to give feedback if you sort your card by type (creature, instant, sorcery, enchantment, artifact) or function (card draw, removal, ramp). The latter also helps myself a lot when building to see if the deck is lacking anything in particular.
You have a lot of powerful cards that I think goes a long way to making this competitive, but some can be replaced. Vapor Snag: I think cards like Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares and Beast Within are more solid removal. You might want to go the exile-path instead of returning permanents to hand. Cloudshift and Flicker should be replaced with re-usable sources of flickering. Brago, King Eternal is MVP in my Roon-deck for blinking a lot in the same turn and untapping artifacts. Mistmeadow Witch and Venser, the Sojourner are also good.
If you're interrested you can take a look at my Roon-deck here: 75% Blink blink, nudge nudge. It doesn't play Palinchron or Voriclex or as much return to hand-effects as you (I'm not going for an oppressive style), but it's a fun and quite consistent list.
Thanks for the feedback. I personally don't do a whole lot of attacking (although i easily can.) I took out my Venser because a sub theme is creature fetch and i find he sees very little play. I Just made an updated decklist if you are interested. It incorporates more counterspells, i also took your advise with both
Note that Karametra is only activated when you cast a creature spell, not when a creature enters the battlefield. I'm a bit on the fence about her in my decklist, but if you often return creatures to your own hand it will probably be good. It can also fetch your shocklands if you run them.
Thirdly Restoration Angel is a great flicker ability on a flying body, and finally Phantasmal Image also infinite combos with Palinchron and is much cheaper to go off than just with Deadeye navigator. The only downside for Phantasmal Image is it doesn't synergize with Roon.

Hi! Fun deck, to be sure. Here's a list of changes I'd consider, and feel free to check out my primer in my signature for other ideas.
You have some really powerful ramp cards (Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Skyshroud Claim), but I didn't see some of the quintessential ramp dudes: Wood Elves, Farhaven Elf, Solemn Simulacrum. These guys are great, provide early threats/blockers, and are repeatable sources of ramp when you blink them. I think you'd be happy to have some/all of them in your list.
You have some great counter magic, but I'd switch up a few of them. I'm not big on Dissolve nor Counterspell, as they lack much additional function beyond the counterspell. You might like Arcane Denial, Hinder, and/or Dissipate. These would also be good over some of the one-shot bounce spells.
Do you like Resolute Archangel? She's powerful, but SO expensive to cast. You might consider Thragtusk; he'd gain you life and keep spitting out threats, and he's much easier on the mana.
Protection: Glen Elendra Archmage and Spike Weaver are two all stars that really police a competitive board, you might consider them.
Finishers: I know you said your games tend to go long. You might consider Rite of Replication (most of your big threats aren't legendary!) and Tooth and Nail (usually instant kill when you pair Craterhoof Behemoth with something like Avenger of Zendikar). They would be great finishers.
Anyway, good luck and have fun! I really enjoy this commander
First off. Thank you for the feeback! I had thought about cutting echoing truth but it routinely avoids getting cut simply because i have a few friends who run token spam commander decks and this seems to wreck their decks every time.
Sunblast Angel I do like this card (use to run it all the time in an old casual deck.) I'll see about adding it in.
I also see quite a bit of agro in my group so i find that with a restoration angel out they are forced to deal me 40 damage in one blow or else i just reset my life.
The stonehorn has to stay simply because whenever i play this deck it gets targeted by everyone at once, this prevents half of my opponents from having viable strategies.
I'll look into the suggestions and hopefully be able to make some changes. Thanks again!
I have gone back and forth about the farhaven elf, and wood elves, and i think i might try to find a place for them. As far as Sol sim goes i took him out a while ago because when this deck hits 4 mana it has a very specific strategy that it goes for and he always seemed to slow me down.
Yes i agree about Yisan, the Wandering Bard he needs to come out. If i manage to fit in the two elves you mentioned i think birthing pod will be a solid addition.
Mana is almost never an issue in this deck, My early game is so focused on preparation for the late game that resolute archangel never seems to be too expensive at the time that i need it. Thragtusk is nice though so ill see about using him, the enter and leave effect is really nice.
I really liked Stonehorn Dignitary, but I found I like Spike Weaver even more because the spike still lets your opponents attack...each other. With the dignitary, you're preventing an opponent from attacking entirely. With the Spike, you're making it not profitable to attack you, but that doesn't mean they can't attack each other.
As for Glen Elendra Archmage, I eventually took out a counterspell for her. She's really amazing, if you have a copy and find space, definitely try her out.
Hmm that is also a good point about the spike weaver I'll test it out. (It'll take me some time to get some of these cards but im looking forward to using them. in the meantime ill play-test with proxies or something like that.)
Now that's an idea. I'll test that out and see how that works. If I can reliably use that combo I might run it. Biggest issue is that the deck's fetch is mostly creature based, getting both of these out would be based on the luck of the draw. So as long as I can manage to get them both out i think it might be worth it. Ill get back to you once I've tried it out.
