When the new commander decks were spoiled, I really liked the idea of a monogreen deck. I have never tried mono colored for EDH and this would be fun. Looking at the new lists, I didn't really like the direction they were going. I ended up choosing Kamahl over Ezuri so I won't have to commit to an elf tribal theme. The list became a somewhat midrange combo deck that is similar to the Kamahl Primer but with a few more goodstuffs thrown in.
The deck is a blast to play. Some openings can be a little slow but most of the time you will ramp hard and fast and leave everyone behind for a big play.
Magus of the Candelabra can do the same thing on the attack step as Argothian Elder (with a Vernal bloom or something). Personally, I'd drop the elder, replace it with a wasteland and keep the Maze.
Incidentally, The following cards do serious work in my Kamahl deack:
EDIT: I also employ an Earthcraft package with Wild Growth and Utopia Sprawl. Those last two are like mana rocks and we see scant little MLD in my meta.
There is no test. Sabertooth is love. Sabertooth is life. He just saved my poor mono green deck from the Possibility Storm menace! *hands Sabertooth a baby to kiss*

Argothian Elder stands out to me as not that amazing. I see that budget is not object, so I think that Courser of Kruphix seems to better to me without relying on getting Nykthos, Shine to Nyx or Gaea's Cradle but gets you there with deeper dig.
Boundless Realms could be a win-more. I understand that it'd be handy T4ish off of Nyx/Cradle, but I think more realistically it's win-more.
Mid-Tier: Marchesa Aggro Rose Asmadi Get Dire Tymna Ikra Woke Women Tiana Aura Angel Ruric Thar SMASH Smasher Kraum Mana Positivity Zur Slides
Filthy Casual: WUBRG Jodah WUBRG WUBRG Fatties WUBRG Gahiji Vigilant Vengeance Ezuri Mysterious Morphs
...other than that, the card is pretty meh.

Azusa - Derevi - Glissa - Mizzix - Sharuum - Wanderer - Wort
I'm most likely dropping Maze of Ith for Wasteland. I like Argothian because of the untap ability. Courser does seem like a good addition.

Ordered one to test. Added in:
Frontier Siege
Courser of Kruphix
