Been tweaking this deck for a few weeks now, but I think I need some outside help. I'm building this deck to be somewhat affordable, at least under 80 dollars. Its focus is on counter manipulation of both the -1/-1 and +1/+1 varieties.
I think you need quite a bit more ramp, as it seems like you have almost none.
The usual Sol Ring and signets would be helpful. Also, consider everflowing chalice. With your proliferation, it should ramp you up pretty well. Lux Cannon is pretty hilarious in a proliferate deck.
Very good point. I actually have a Sol Ring, I just forgot to put it in the deck. Everflowing Chalice should be very useful with proliferate, and Lux Cannon was something I can't believe I forgot about.
Some of the ramp I have in the deck is a little roundabout, like Gyre Sage, Fertilid, or Coiling Oracle. Otherwise, I focused a little more on card draw and getting lands with that.
I have Bioshift to move +1/+1 counters and things like Bloatfly Infestation and Necropede to spawn -1/-1's, but Fate Trasnfer is still an option. Gilder Bairn is actually already in there.
I was actually kind of thinking of shifting Mimeoplasm in for multiplayer games and keeping Vorosh in for duels, but I might just shift it all over to Mimeoplasm.
Ah, I overlooked gilder bairn. But, with a theme with counters this big, it wont hurt to have two cards with similar effects. Even without using a staple Mimeoplasm build, he looks like he'll be a little more easier for you to work with- he starts with counters as opposed to waiting a full turn and needing to make successful combat damage. You don't even need to use your own creatures for him, you can steal some nice creatures from your opponents graveyards, which can help against reanimation.
I think youll have fun :] Note that fate transfer can spill the -1/-1 counters you have on one creature onto another as well. Also, if you haven't dealt with land destruction yet, Simic Growth Chamber and the others can be risky.
I opened a few KTK boosters and got a few creatures that seem like they would sync well with the deck and seem like an upgrade over Simic counterparts, as well as a Kalonian Hydra as a gift from my friend.
