Hello all, submitting my first EDH deck here that I am hoping to work on and see evolve over time. At this point in time I think it is fairly tuned but I am looking to make a couple of cuts and thought I would submit my list here so we can build a better deck together and perhaps you guys can give me some suggestions on things you would like to see removed or added.
I want to make this deck competitive as possible with my budget constraints (100-200 dollar cards OK, Mishra's Workshop not OK ) so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, combos and pretty much everything is A-ok!
+1 Kudoltha Pheonix
+1 All is Dust
+1 Basalt Monolith
+1 Soul of New Phyrexia
+1 Volatic Key
+1 Blightsteel Colossus
Next on the chopping block is Pentavus and Burnished Hart, they simply don't do enough and I really do not think Pentavus is a good card, it just takes so much mana to work and seems weak...if somebody has a different opinion please let me know. Not sure as to what I would put in.
You don't have two cards that I often use to end games as soon as I cast them: hellkite igniter and staff of domination.
Even if you ignore the combos, staff is a great card with all the mana this deck makes. It's a 2-card win with metalworker and ends the game whenever you have infinite mana. The igniter is a beatstick with haste that can get some fun surprise wins.
Cards to consider removing for those: pilgrim's eye, burnished hart, pentavus, ichor wellspring.
Karn, silver golem is great land destruction with mycosynth lattice and he can come up with some surprise wins too when you roll over someone after turning your artifacts into creatures. He's also a 0/8 blocker and he combines well with voltaic construct to make infinite mana with any artifact that makes 3 mana. caged sun and contagion engine have been really good in my deck. I've had some fun games with goblin welder bringing contagion engine in and out of play to make ones-sided boardwipes that add counters to daretti. It's extra fun with rings of brighthearth in play.

I just feel Hellkite is too expensive, is it really a reliable way to win the game? Staff of Domination on the other hand I will have to look to add. Will consider adding more mana doublers such as caged sun/gauntlet of power alongside my gauntlet of might.
Do you have any opinions on Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient, I took him out because I did not think I had many things to work with his ability but might consider bringing him back in.
I dropped Shimmer Myr since I've never needed to flash anything in.
I took out Hoarding Dragon but may end up putting him back in for the tutoring.
I also don't think Skullclamp is very good in here.
I don't know why skullclamp was listed, as it was not in the deck..my bad!
I think I will replace Pentavus and Burnished hart next so...
+1 Deal Broker
+1 Gauntlet of Power/Caged sun (which would be better..chance of somebody taking advantage of the mountains I would pick is slim I think)
+1 Ugin, Spirit Dragon, this replaces the skullclamp I had in the deck accidentally.
-1 Pentavus...I think this card is just terrible honestly.
-1 Burnished Hart

Hi I'm Infecter4life and ironically I only play GBx decks.
Hellkite Igniter is fantastic. I've won half of my games through him. Him plus lattice equals really quick wins. Often the turn he comes into play.
Also, where's the mindslaver? That's my primary win con...
I have both in my binder, what should I cut for them.
Perhaps Kuldotha Pheonix and Shimmer Myr? Both seem like low impact cards, and I overlooked the slaver initially because I wanted this to be not as cut-throat, but I changed my mind.

Hi I'm Infecter4life and ironically I only play GBx decks.
Pentavus can be good. If you have the mana, you can create tokens, block, then make them into counters for him and kill something with five toughness, or just use the tokens for Forgemaster/Daretti. I was considering cutting him until he saved me a few times.

Phoenix and Shimmer would be good cuts.
Caged sun is definitely better.
I just really don't like him, for 7 mana hes incredibly weak in my opinion.
So:
-1 Shimmer Myr
-1 Phoenix
+1 Mindslaver
+1 Hellkite
Will have to see where I can fit in caged sun. Cards on the chopping block right now are the two wellsprings (Ichor and Myco), and Pentavus...might keep pentavus though and just swap those two out for something.
How is HellKite Igniter weak? You do understand that you can use his RC ability as many times as you want on the same turn, right? And by the time you get him out, you could easily have... who knows? 8? maybe 10 artifacts out? With 8 artifacts, he gets +8/0 using his ability once... and say you only had 7 mana you when you cast it and you don't play a land the next turn... you can swing with it the following turn for 8x3 = 24 + 5 = 29 damage.
If you have any mana combos or mana ramp that hits the board early, you could even take advantage of his haste and swing for a massive hit out of no where. And late game, he is a one-hit KO if played at the right time.
One small change that will make the deck a lot better
- 1 Mycosynith Wellspring
+ 1 Nevinyrral's Disk
Pucatraded away a couple of hard to move foils and now I have a good amount of this deck pimped out besides the 40+ dollar foils and the lands. Will have to update it to keep track easily.

Woohoo finally got my deal broker! Now I have to just get an ugin but I'm waiting until the price on a foil one drops. Working on foiling the deck out in the mean time, lots of the foils are cheap and I don't think it will last that much longer considering how many people picked up these pre-cons. I would pick them up ASAP if you are interested in eventually foiling out your decks!

Hi I'm Infecter4life and ironically I only play GBx decks.
What about Karn Liberated, he seems really good. With him and Daretti and Bolas you could have a small support package for planeswalkers with cards like throne of Geth and Contagion Engine, which is good on its own any way.
He's OK, but I think hes far too expensive for what he does. For example if I play ugin for 1 colorless more (which is insignificant with the mana this deck produces) I can wipe the board and leave colorless stuff up, however with Karn at most I could exile a permanent. Also, the proliferate suite is a bit too cute for my tastes, it can be disrupted far too easily. It's not what this deck is trying to do and adding it in would make the deck less fluid overall.

No clue what to add though
