Diamond eyes
Deep in the wood your body rests
Don't wake up, don't give up
Diamond eyes
Enchanted purple lips last
Don't wake up, don't give up

My philosophy
I play Commander for its social and psychological aspects. I prefer games to last for a while and to be full of interesting interactions and surprising situations. Whenever I feel like playing to win, I play some other format instead. Multiplayer is all about having fun with your friends. My CMD decks tend to be slow and defensive and combos are coincidental (if any).
The deck's philosophy
This deck is what happened when I dismantled an enchantress Highlander and wanted to find a new home for the cards. It has a surprisingly high win percentage, considering how slow and unintimidating it is. However, it's not terribly fun to play, largely because for most of the game, it hardly does anything. Also, the general is very loosely connected to the theme. Its main function seems to be to untap Serra's Sanctum.
I wonder how I could make this deck more interesting to play? I'm a big fan of enchantments, and the pillowfort strategy appeals to me, but something needs to change because as it's now, this deck is quite frustrating, both to play and to play against.
There's a lot of ways to make it more interesting - but you have to determine some kinda goal first. You could have Springjack Pasture + Mirari's wake be your primary win conditions and swing with a million goats for the win.
No matter what your goal is, I'd start by taking almost all the pillowfortyness out of the deck.
The thing is that it's probably what I like best in the deck... Also, the deck has no combat-viable creatures and no good defenses anyway, so I don't know if it would survive early game without any protection.
why not squirrel nest then? lands are quite harder to remove than creatures. me, i'm looking at Thraben Doomsayer just for that ability and the fact that it is a creature.
I'd consider just swapping him for Jenara, and adding a small voltron package (say, Aspect of Mongoose, Bear Umbra, Hardened Scales, and maybe Rancor).
Another fun subtheme with Enchantress decks that I've experimented with is dredge / sacrifice / graveyard shenanigans. Throw in the enchantment saccing and recurring enchantments (rancor/aspect of mongoose/spirit loop, Heliod), a few dredge cards like Life from the Loam, Golgari Grave-Troll, maybe Moldervine cloak.
Set up for an explosive Replenish or Open the Vaults win, while doing more card draw shenanigans in the early game. And doing things like swinging with a giant Atog early.
The big fun things you can do with a dredgey subtheme:
* Ensure that when you cast Open the Vaults, you have "fun" cards in the graveyard - Sigil of the Empty Throne or Eidolon of Blossoms, so you can draw your deck and crfap out a million angels.
* Eternal Witness for stuff
* Sun Titan for stuff (Sun titan for dueling grounds is fun)
With blue, there're a ton of other options to fill your yard up and recur OTV / Replenish too of course.
Another subtheme to consider is Skybind. Blue's blink heavy abilities give you a lot of tools too. You could probably set up a hilarious loop where you sac all your enchantments to Atogs and blink an Archaeomancer to get Open the Vaults/Replenish back.
So short story:
Try to work another subtheme or two in your deck by cutting out some redundant cards and tutors, preferably something that gives you some early game.

Hmm, that might be a good idea. There would be potential for better synergy.
As far dredging goes, Life from the Loam strikes me as basically always worth it as long as you have fetches and/or cycling lands. And it gets even better with Exploration and Burgeoning! Also, Compulsion is nice enchantment way to filter your hand and fill your yard.
Yeah, nekorin & I have similar decks - every inch a combo deck, though. You get infinite mana & derevi activations. One of my win conditions is death by goat-alanche.

Hey, not a bad idea at all! This isn't a fun deck to play against, anyway, so why not go combo. I have been thinking that I should build at least one combo deck of my own to punish the combo jerks in my meta

Well, Nekorin does a great job of showing all the different ways it can be done. Derevi is also extraordinarily resilient to many standard methods of combatting combo decks while having plenty of space in the deck to season to your taste.

I occasionally win with a buncha extort triggers on blind obedience

I'm a bit reluctant to rely on too heavily on just two cards (and the graveyard). It's fun to do, though.
It took a while but I got it now That shows how little I consider the general in this deck.
