I wanted to start getting help with my reaper king deck, and try and bring some popularity to this absolute champion of a card, so i decided to finally join a forum (yes this is a first for me, please be gentle)
I keep seeing him on all these lists of most fun generals to play and most annoying generals to fight, but it seems on further reading that most people are simply speculating, or saw one once briefly, and then never again. well, i first built this deck around 2010, and have been refining it ever since, turning it into a super fun, ever-adjusting powerhouse.
there are lots of reasons to pick a general, because they are a really strong card, a lot of fun to play, it has some deep significance to you, or whatever. i chose everything above. reaper king is way stronger then he looks, and it isn't just that he is a converted mana cost 10 permanent that can cost as low as 5, though that is a sweet option. he also isn't limited by lack of a single color early game, something you can easily use to screw over other rainbow decks. no, really the greatest thing about him as a card is his triggered ability, and its because like many of you reading this, people underestimate it, and here are the 3 best ways to abuse that ability: changeling titan- the changeling affect makes him every creature type, including myr, sliver, and scarecrow. this guy also has a combo i use to create infinite destruction, but i will explain that later. rite of replication- kicking this card and targeting reaper king creates 5 more reaper kings. they all see each other, and the original see all 5 enter, they all trigger, 25 destroy permanents go on stack, and then the copies fade. 'nuff said clone- and any other creature copy card targeting a changeling or a scarecrow. make up for those limited numbers pretty quick, and still get lots of sweet options. lovin it. conspiracy- (not featured in deck, but another option) unlike its weaker but more recent printing xenograft, conspiracy affects creature spells and those not in play, (which includes your graveyard for anything that may affect that) so any creature you play after this point sets off reaper king.
the other big reason he is powerful? he is filled with potential. not only does he have the same list of crazy options any other rainbow deck has. but he has all the things i listed above, and more that i may not even have thought of yet. its what makes him so much fun!
some deck explanation
and that is my best segway into this topic, which comes up just about every time i lose or whenever people take a skim through this deck, the lack of focus. it comes up often and i expected it, but it took me a little while to really pin down a good explanation, since i can't really use my normal one of "lets play another game" which usually proves it has more then enough capability to win, but i am somewhat impulsive and can be easily tricked, and that screws me over. he is very strong this way, and he isn't designed to be truly competitive, i run the mimeoplasm and mayael the anima (will post them later) to be truly competitive, i made and refine reaper king to be the most fun deck i have ever had the pleasure of truly calling my own. their is a long long list of cards both cheap and expensive that i think could really change this deck into some truly terrible monster, and i know that. maybe i will run across those cards and incorporate them. it would be fun to see him like that. and i don't know every card, or every combo that is out there; so please, PLEASE share your ideas, i love to hear them.
Welcome to the forums
For starters, given that this is a superfriends list, why not run an Academy Rector in order to power out that Doubling Season with more ease? In the same vein, this deck looks like it'd benefit from Contagion Engine, Contagion Clasp and perhaps card like Inexorable Tide to keep ticking up counters on your PW's.
Though to be honest, the deck does look a bit...unfocussed. Perhaps you could give us a reasoning on why you play the cards you do? This might give us an idea as to what direction you wish to take the deck to.

loving academy rector its a great idea i have not seen for a long time.
i tried to run several of the proliferate cards, but it to often seemed like i was not getting as much out of them as i should. it was only recently i added master transmuter and with the fact i can use her to essentially flicker an artifact, it is likely worth another try. thank you very much.
