- This Commander deck is based around its general Isamaru, Hound of Konda and sticks to a voltron theme dedicated to powering up the puppy and chomping through the enemy. I consider this one of my most competitive decks next only to my Geist/GAAIV so don't worry about being ruthless in your card assessments :). Since our city rarely plays by French rules, I am fairly new to the duel commander meta and greatly appreciate any expertise on card choices relating to that format.
- The deck is built strictly for 1v1 competitive EDH but can also hold its own in multiplayer games up to 4 people due to the sheer strength and annoyance of Isamaru's low casting cost. Although currently tuned for regular rules, I have included a substitution list at the bottom for cards banned in Duel Commander.
- The play style is simple beast-mode agro; cast Ismaru, then try to do 21 general damage to the face as fast as possible by pumping him up. ...Hm sorry, there's not really too much to say about this deck, overall it's pretty banal but also has pretty favourable win rates!
- The deck has a package of choice removal pieces but I never really seem satisfied with the balance and type of cards in the suite.. Needs more testing perhaps. The deck also feels light on card draw, but then again white always does...and I don't quite feel right about the French subs yet.
