This deck went through many transformations in search of a fun combo deck. It started out as Memnarch, but got bored with mono U. I then added green and turned the deck into Kruphix, God of Horizons, it was fun but it was essentially a UG Omnath, Locus of Mana deck that didn't have Omnath. Sure you get to play big blue spells, but it also wasn't what I wanted. Then I added black and turned it into Damia, Sage of Stone. That deck was a lot of fun and super efficient, but I felt it was time for something different. Something that didn't have green in it (I play a lot of green).
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is not only an awesome combo deck, AND it doesn't have green, but he is also a Dragon general! I may or may not like dragons as well.
