I wanted to build a deck around the fact that Angus is a cleric, and I thought of him in the sense of tabletop RPG clerics. Basically, buff spells and protection from harm for the beaters. As others have done, I made enchantments the primary theme. Angus' pantheon in this deck is distinctly Hellenistic, tons of card form the Theros block for obvious reasons. So, here's the deck:
Bestow creatures, while not overly thrilling in and of themselves, are enhanced by the fact that if the creature they're enchanting dies they then enter the battlefield. It means getting wiped is less painful, and could even proc some enchantment entering the battlefield effects.
Many of my enchantments are making tokens, we'll see how necessary that winds up being. I like having tokens around, particularly angels. I may remove Fable of Wolf and Owl, I dunno. There are a few things in here than interfere with opponents' ability to scew me, like Grand Abolisher, Tajuru Preserver, Sigarda, Privileged Position, etc. but I mostly focus on an aggro strategy with Angus keeping me out of harm's way. The deck isn't terribly Angus-centric, and I really only play him once someone on board becomes reasonably threatening. Until then the library speaks for itself.
Angus tends to be one of the first spot destruction targets, and canny players may focus me early if Angus isn't on the field. Sometimes its better to leave him off field until I have diplomatic immunity or swiftfoot boots, other times I'll need him immediately and just have to hope he doesn't get Doom Bladed or something.
Looks like a pile of fun. Angus is one of my favorite commanders, and enchantress is one of my favorite strategies (though my Angus leads superfriends).
There are a few things I would consider trying to find room for: Sun Titan: Maybe the best white creature in EDH, gets a ton of your stuff back, is generally awesome. Argothian Enchantress: Best enchantress out there. Wargate: Puts what you want from your deck directly on the battlefield. Amazing card. Auratouched Mage: Eldrazi Conscription tutored and attached to a creature all for 6 mana.
Cuts: Invisible Stalker: You only run a handful of auras, not sure he fits here. Flitterstep Eidolon: I think some of the Eidolons are OK, but this one is underwhelming. Whitewater Naiads: Conditional unblockable for 5 mana is just not good enough. Commander Eesha: Pet card? If not, you can do better and more synergistic things here.
These are just suggestions from a fellow Angus and Enchantress player.
