- This Commander deck is based around the theme of 'Creepy Crawlies' and was originally designed by my lovely girlfriend Deborah. The deck stars Skullbriar, the Walking Grave as it's general and is also somewhat themed around the card Swarmyard, and other creature types like Wurms that might be considered as sinister or coming from a Tainted Wood. This deck is quite different than other Skullbrair decks I've seen but is also quite flavourful and fun to play!
- The deck is built for small and medium sized multiplayer games and excels best in 3-4 player match ups where removal and sweepers are not overflowing. This deck can also hold its own 1v1 due to the aggressive nature of the general; however the deck would need considerable tuning away from its theme to be competitive.
- The play style in my opinion embodies the basics of mid-range MTG/EDH where by you simply balance creatures & removal and keep continuously scaling pressure on your opponents. There is not really much else to tell here except that to keep priority casting your general and make your attacks politically to reduce hate.
- Unfortunately this deck receives considerably less love than my other commander decks and subsequently its power level is a bit lower. Not that this is a budget deck but I've used cards like Extinguish All Hope instead of hassling to pick up another Damnation Overall the deck is still fairly strong and constantly looking for on theme-ish cards that can make the deck stronger.
