Or how I learned to stop worrying and trust the Planeswalkers
This intro text is a work in progress.
Basically this is American (RWU) planeswalkers with Ruhan as a commander. Ruhan is largely there for the colors, coming out only to close the game with his large 7/7 body. The bulk of the game is played with your Political Advisors, Mutually Assured Destruction, Political Oversight, American Industry, and The American Dream (Or your planeswalkers, board wipes/pillow forting, counterspells/group hug, draw spells/mana rocks, and other assorted goodies).
Expect shenanigans with this deck, as planeswalkers will draw the attention of your opponents. But that's okay, because you're too busy locking down the biggest threats for the entire board - Be the protector of freedom and aim for the biggest guy, helping the little guys win (until you either go infinite with the chainveil, take 8 extra turns, or obliterate the board with Ruhan's mana floating).
Karn Liberated - This guy is basically amazing. When I get him he's going to be replacing Gideon Jura.
Mystic Remora - I'd like to get a chance to use this card, even though I'm not entirely sure what to swap for it.
Mystical Tutor - This is probably going to be replacing either Fuel for the Cause or Last Word. I already run into situations where I pitch excess counterspells to Dack or Jace (not that that's a bad thing).
Cyclonic Rift - I'm on the fence about this card. I know it's awesome but I already have access to a crapton of sweepers and my metagame hates this card. The instant speed is a plus but at the same time I'd have to remove one of my other sweepers.
A better mana base :|

Mana Base changes - added some more money into the mana base, taking out 2 of each of the basics in return for the American shocklands, a City of brass, Tectonic Edge, and Strip Mine. The land destruction is there to shut down some Boseijus that people have started picking up against me.
Smoke replacing Lightmine Field - holy crap lightmine field is just bad. I don't know what I was thinking when i added it but ugh it was always terrible in testing. I never wanted to play it, instead pitching it whenever possible. Hopefully Smoke will work out better against zerg strategies. Also works well with my various tapping planeswalkers.

Have you tried sneaking a Boros Charm in your list? Other than the Indestructible effect, it's great for Ruhan killing an opponent after 2 swings.. I have a Ruhan deck as well where my gameplan is to smash the opponents with Ruhan and double strike effects for early game while using Planeswalkers for mid-late game.. The only difference is that I don't have the pillow fort cards and the extra turn cards that you use..

Hm, that's a good idea. I'll swap it out for Last Word and see if it works for a few games. I love the fact that it can make my numerous wraths one-sided and getting in there for the surprise kill seems pretty nice as well.

It's pretty good as a win condition especially when you use it with Obliterate.. I also notice that you don't have Karn Liberated in your list.. Is it because of his casting cost?

Yeah, he's really pricey at the moment.. On some of the new cards:
Cyclonic Rift - I believe that this is essential on every EDH deck that has blue especially on Planeswalker heavy decks since it removes problems and obstacles.. Despite the hate your playgroup has for it, I think you should still use it..
Venser, The Sojourner - He makes Ruhan Unblockable and resets Ruhan and Planeswalkers with low loyalty.. No argument here..
Dack's Duplicate - Hasted Eldrazi or Blightsteel with a possible boost? Don't mind if I do..
Mystic Remora - It's great in the early game but I only have Rhystic Study at the moment.. I think you should get it especially if your playgroup uses a lot of mana rocks or early game ramp..
I'm still torn on what I'd removal for the cyclonic rift. Ultimately it's a good choice but I'd need to playtest and see which cards I don't want to see.
Venser's been pretty good, especially in protecting stuff from my wrath effects. He also does a good job of resetting my colors to help me hold up counterspell magic. I hate seeing him in my opening hand but he's pretty good in the mid to late game.
Dack's Duplicate has gotten me multiple Kozileks and random Blightsteel kills out of nowhere, he's amazing.

I have tried Inexorable tide, unfortunately most of the spells in my build are either reactive, situational, or massive aggression threats. So, to that end, Contagion Clasp, Contagion Engine, and Viral Drake usually worked out as better proliferate producers. Inexorable tide is amazing when you're chaining lots of smaller spells together, but this deck doesn't really do that so the card just isn't as effective in this deck.
