I have been working on this list for about a year now. With some ideas from Sonik's Riku Primer in the forums here I have crafted a rather resilient version of Spellslinger Riku.
The combo here is Riku with two Regrowths and a Turnabout to generate an arbitrarily large amount of mana. I can then use this to endlessly cast all of the cards in my graveyard until I am able to Comet Storm or Stroke of Genius.
Thoughtflare > Fact or Fiction (FoF always nets 5 cards; just more efficient.) Magus of the Bazaar > Izzet Guildmage (Magus was nice for digging, but the tap activation is too slow. Guildmage adds pseudo Riku effect and copies 1/3 of the deck. It does not enable the win, though being able to maintain the copy early is nice. Also tutorable with Muddle.) Mnemonic Wall > Izzet Chronarch (Wizard creature type is more relevant.) Noxious Revival > Forest (Recursion to top is awkward and adds difficulty to combo.) Revive > Forest (Green only recursion is too narrow for consistency.) Runechanter's Pike > Lightning Greaves (Pike is not want I want to be doing. I have Kessig Wolf Run side as it is an alt win con that can just kill someone in a stalled board, but it is side cause I can wish for it. Pike does not do this. Boots: tutorable with Muddle, protection, etc... we know this.) Gitaxian Probe > Thought Scour (While Probe is free it only nets one card and the peak is mostly irrelevant. Thought Scour nets 3 cards.) Swan Song > Sol Ring(Swan Song ended up being to niche. While originally not included as it does not work in the combo (one-time use) the ramp potential is just too strong. I might take it and Counter/Top out for Dual Commander playability.) Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded > [c]Mountain[c] (RR is just too difficult early and Tibalt just falls short mid/late game) Plow Under > Manamorphose (Plow is just too slow. It ends up being win more as it is very good when I am already ahead of my opponents. Manamorphose is free mana filtering and replaces itself. Tempo supreme!)
Sideboard:
Island > Ruination (For those games where I play people with greedy mana bases.)
07/23/2014
Ancient Grudge > Unravel the AEther (The tuck effect is supremely more relevant than flashback.) Farseek > Realms Uncharted (Land packages like Intuition? Seems legit. Even after I have added shocks, Farseek is still one of my weakest ramps as it can run out of targets much faster.) Sol Ring > Explore (I don't like the fact that while SR is the quintessential mana rock, it does not untap with Early Harvest or Turnabout.) Thirst for Knowledge > Sylvan Library (Better draw and can be Muddled) Signal the Clans > Intuition (While StC packages are sweet, Intuitions are just better. If I add more creatures to the list StC might go back in.) Careful Consideration > Revive (I actually gave Revive careful consideration before I put it back in, but now that I can actually use Intuition to rip out all 3 green Regrowths makes it totes worth.) Thought Scour > Cyclonic Rift Dream Halls > Final Fortune (As I sit in the hall dreaming of magical christmasland I finally realized that my fortune isn't tied to a single turn. Can be Muddled and sometimes all I need is the next turn.) Izzet Chronarch > Elven Cache (Another green regrowth, which is maing Revive better. Dropping Chronarch probably isn't correct, but until I find a card that is less fulfilling he is on the bench.) Golgari Grave-Troll > Traumatize (Do you know what is better than dredgeing 6 a turn? Having access to half of your existing library in one turn.) Snapcaster Mage > Erayo, Soratami Ascendant (Snaps is a boss, but I only have so many creature slots at this time. Erayo was in Animar for a hot minute so the power is definetly worth the slot. Easy to flip.) Mindbreak Trap > Arcane Denial (I will eventually be putting the Trap back in as my meta has a lot of Maelstroms wandering about, but the lower cost and card draw are more relevant at the moment.) Pact of Negation > Force of Will (Better free counter as I will almost always have some blue durdle to toss to FoW, while needing to tap out next turn is not as cool.) Dissipate > Counterflux (Exile is cool, uncounterable is better.) Primal Command > Nostalgic Dreams (Derp note: I didn't realize that the alt cost isn't required on copy. This card is insane value now! Can be Muddled.) Mountain > Forgotten Cave (Loam cycle package.) Forest > Tranquil Thicket "" Island > Lonely Sandbar "" Forest > Stomping Grounds (Oh, I'm playing the shock-lands again? Not very shocking at all.) Rating: F
Basic Land > Breeding Pool
Basic Land > Steam Vents
I forgot to add that to my testing list. I can probably replace it with Counterspell, but I have had success with it in my Oloro Stax list so I figured I would give it a shot.
