MTG Salvation

Basically the inspiration for this deck came to me because I recently developed a love for the card Sunder. I decided to kinda base a deck around playing extra lands, and making people bounce lands. If you think I should add something, let me know.



This deck is a blast to play although it is incredibly expensive. You can easily cut some of these cards for cheaper alternatives though. Timetwister can be Time Reversal. Imperial Seal can be Diabolic Tutor etc. I'm not really sure exactly how competitive this thing is. It hasn't been tested at my local shop yet. You can easily morph this into a super combo deck, if you wanted to roll like that.

Huh. I never even thought about retrace cards. I'm not too sold on Worm Harvest as there are a lot of -1/-1 to the board and little sweepers in general, but Spitting Image is definitely a card that I'm gonna try to find room for. Now what to cut.

Deprive is an interesting budget option to consider as well, especially since it's on theme. Other bounce lands you control cards could be good too, like Gush or maybe even the Kamigawa Moonfolk.

What about cards that focus on the number of lands you control? Something like Budoka Gardener, perhaps? Gives you an additional land drop and can eventually take over a game by spitting out large tokens.

Part of me really wants Budoka Gardener in here, and he was on my original list. I just don't know what to cut for him. I just don't know what's cuttable in general in this list. Grazing Gladehart and Nature's Claim are the two that seem the most cuttable, but even then, that antelope gains me soooo much life. It's slightly ridiculous. I like cheap artifact/and enchantment destruction too though. Argh! I think I might try swapping the claim for Spitting Image and seeing how that works out.

Have you considered horn of greed?

That is a fantastic idea. And I really don't know why I didn't think of it. Kudos!

I have an extremely fun to play Patron of the Moon deck. Hedron Crab is the kill of choice for me =) Meloku, the Clouded Mirror could be an all-star in here. Amulet of Vigor is the real MVP.

I really like the interaction between your general and Words of Wind. Gush could play really well here as well.

Now that I think about it, Amulet of Vigor + Patron of the Moon + Ob Nixilis, the Fallen/Tooth and Nail for both is GG.

Hmmmmm.....

It's a really cool deck. I've been thinking about copying it. I've already got a patron of the moon deck though. I really need a sunder. I've been so lazy in my quest to pick one up.
