So our lgs EDH group will sometime in a near future start with something called "Tribal Monday".
and i thought a giant EDH deck would be cool to pilot.
Im thinking, big dudes, multiple combat steps. The deck has problem with drawing cards.
I need to cut about 5 cards or so, i think 40 lands should suffice. Maybe 39.
At the moment, the problem with the deck is carddraw.
Updated the thread with a decklist in a proper form, Thanks to Omega Furnace
It's a changeling, so you have a giant that adds power. This changeling combos with other units such your Sun Titan to come back from the grave, and still be able to grow with other players slinging spells. There's really no reason not to play this guy in a tribal deck that uses red.
Cut:
Callous Giant, the damage prevention is weak and doesn't offer up.
Stoneshock Giant, the extra monstrosity doesn't add up to be great since the activated ability only works once. Borderland Behemoth is just a larger beatstick.
There are a few others that can be cut compared to some of the other effects, the main thing is to look at your curve and exploit some of the changelings as well as the cost reducers where they are at.
Some clones may help to bring a little bit of the curve down, while exploiting other people's commanders.

Life is a beautiful engineer, yet a brutal scientist.
I spoke to 2 of my friends, and we felt clones and changelins are too lazy to play with.
But we're gonna have some exceptions for some tribes, since some can't play many of that
creature type, so they can use changelings, but the changelings creature type is
only the tribe you're using.
The rules are not set in stones tho, and there are other examples where we've bent the
rules, but im gonna get a Stinkdrinker Daredevil , and Shapeshareranyway.
As your lands aren't posted, I will suggest Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion because granting any creature - particularly those involved in someone else's combat - doublestrike is fun. Hall of the Bandit Lord is handy, too.
More mana rocks, notably Chromatic Lantern, but the ones you can tap for more than one mana would let you ramp a bit, and this will be crucial given the cmc of your good stuff. Shave off a few giants and lands for them. Mana Geyser is a oneshot spell, but might provide the oomph you need to pull ahead... Or to fuel Comet Storm.

Pro tip: You'll generally get a much better response from the community if you put the decklist in the post instead of just linking to it. Also, I'm quite sure that I'm not alone in my preference for a list sorted into card types or functions instead of just lands/creatures/spells like I've seen TappedOut do, though apparently not always. It makes for easier reading IMHO.
Using deck tags is preferred.
For example, this code (without the space before the "deck="):
[ deck=insert deckname here]
General:
1 Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
Based in your card choices, you seem to be working with at least some kind of budget. How tight is it?
Here are a few suggestions Urza's Incubator - pick a tribe and watch the CC of that tribe drop, seems good. War Tax - I suggest this not as a defensive card, but as a trick for bypassing you general's downside. If you activate this for X=0 on your turn before attacking, you can choose not to pay and then proceed to swing at whomever you like or not at all. But it can also be used defensively. Aggravated Assault - If you like extra attack steps and big mana, this card is for you. Chromatic Lantern - A (somewhat? $4 as of this writing) budget friendly mana fixer. Just try getting color screwed with this thing out.
Get more mana rocks.
Depending on how strict your tribal restriction is you may like: Mirror Entity - this guy is technically a giant thanks to his Changeling ability. It doesn't say so on his type line, but he's a giant in all zones. Makes your team all large/large for the turn, very useful. Adaptive Automaton - A lord for the tribe of your choice, put him in if they'll let you. He gains the appropriate creature type when put into play normally.
Any other low CMC changelings in your colors.
Concerns: Countryside Crusher - powerful, but risky. If you don't have any additional draw, you will never get another land again. This is a double-edged sword since you want to draw gas, but your average CMC is quite high. You had better have a Crucible of Worlds or a mitt full of lands if you decide to run this guy out. Jötun Grunt - It's quite unlikely that you'll be able to support this guy for long in the early game. I'm generally against Cumulative Upkeeps, so this guy is probably an easy cut Jötun Owl Keeper - cute, but hardly necessary. Again, I'm against the Cumulative Upkeep. Boldwyr Heavyweights - This guy is all downside without MAJOR support. You need anti-search tech out before this guy becomes safe. Think about it. You get an 8/8 trample, everyone else gets their best guy still in deck. Not a good trade. Even against only 1 player you will come out behind unless the other player is not in possession of his/her full faculties. It was considered unplayable even in draft for a reason.

Our rules when it comes to Tribal atm in our group is kinda loose. Some think we should play strictly tribal, no other creature types at all.
It's sort of split.
I want atleast 1 god in the deck, and that's Iroas, God of Victory.
Well my budget isn't the biggest atm, but i do have some of the more expensive cards, my budget is not thaat bad really, but i can't get stuff like proper ABU duals etc, and fetches.
And i really do not want this deck to end up like a goodstuff.deck
I rather enjoy the chaos that Boldwyr Heavyweights bring with them, but aside from Stranglehold, Aven Mindcensor, Torpor Orb, and Mindlock Orb, I cannot think of any other support mechanism... maybe hold some exiling removal or Threaten-esque cards to quickly dispatch whatever the Heavyweights bring with them?
Yes! I don't know what kind of carddraw i should have in the deck, i really want to play all of these cards so bad.
Maybe i should cut Favor of the Mighty for Rhystic Study.
But i do like the somewhat evasion and protection Favor of the Mighty can give me.
Rush of Knowledge can be quite good now that i got so many enchantments, just so i don't
have to rely on having creatures in play.
I was planning to play Windfall, if there's anybody drawing cards, i want to atleast have just as many as they have.

I like a little chaos too, but not at the cost of the game. But that's the Spike in me talking. I'm currently trying to build (with little-to-no planning) a troll-face EDH specifically to provoke WTF reactions and IRL rage-quits.
If we're talking about ways to mitigate the downside, Tariff is one way to go. Still not much good because that raises the mana requirement to 6.
I think the overall goal should be to lower the average CMC a little and accelerate. I've never really liked Riddle of Lightning for it's pseudo randomness. It's inconsistent since you have to choose your target before you know how much damage you get. That makes it a big-ass gamble in a removal role. However, there is Interpret the Signs. Still inconsistent, but at least it's not as big a gamble being draw instead of attempted removal.
Seriously consider adding these: Sunforger - This is one of the single most abusive cards available in your colors. It can do almost anything you can think of if you put the right cards in your list. You'll need to develop a package for it though. Mistveil Plains - Support card for above, allows you to reload spells for future re-use.
You should cut: Skaab Goliath - You're not liable to have enough guys in the bin early enough for this guy to be much good.
I would be more likely to use blue as a support color in this deck. It's not like blue has many giants. The hexproof and Frost Titan one is fine, but the rest are probably going to suck. Scratch that, the other one does suck, blue has only 3 giants.

Yeah i think that's a good point. I can just cut the blue giants for support, like carddraw. Excellent stuff. I'll update with the cards im replacing the blue creatures with. I think im gonna keep Frost Titan for now, he can keep a bothersome permanent tapped.
I've played against my friends that runs SunForger, i admit that it's a really good card, but i feel it's a really boring card, not fun to play with at all. The only fun part really is the +4 atk on it.
+ Rhystic Study
+ Fact or Fiction
+ Bident of Thassa
^I was thinking, that i think my creatures will atleast be a little bigger than my opponents most of the time. i can bait then with
the bident to hit either me or whoever, and lose all their creatures, getting tapped out. It seems great when i think of it those scenarios.
At the moment i think the weakest thing about the deck is graveyard removal, im gonna run the list without any and lets see what happens. I think i can cram in a Rest in Peace in the deck somehow.

I didn't mean to imply that you should cut Frosty, he's a beast and a b**** to remove. I think he's better than fine as a 6-drop.

Alright, hard to account for personal taste. I've never used it in a deck or played against it personally, but I've seen it in action something like once or twice. It's hard to argue with casting a tutored spell for that little.

Benthic Giant is a little small for it's cmc, but the hexproof is handy. It's a unique instance in the tribe. More useful if you're into a voltron build, but this list hardly qualifies.
I like the logic on Bident, and that should mix well with your guy that gives your team vigilance. You can induce some sick massacres by using it to say "come at me bro"
I'm not a fan of Windfall. It's got the potential to mess up a combo player, but any Johnny worth his salt should have a backup plan for discarded pieces. As pure card draw, it's a little conditional for my taste.
I prefer Stroke of Genius to Braingeyser because the former is instant speed. That mixes better with a bluffing tactics and reactive moves. Balance of Power is a little overcosted. Slithermuse is cheaper, and more splashable for the same effect on the evoke. But it's not in your tribe, so it may not be an option. Any word on how strict the tribal bit is gonna be?
At the moment i think the weakest thing about the deck is graveyard removal, im gonna run the list without any and lets see what happens. I think i can cram in a Rest in Peace in the deck somehow.
Bin hate is a meta call. If someone is running around with abusive graveyard shenanigans, you'll want to add it quick. But much of the time, you can run without it. I leave it out of all my "non-competitive" lists as a deliberate weakness, but it's almost always showing up in some form or another for my french lists.
I never did see your answer to my question about what kind of budget you're working with, so I'll ask again. What's you're budget like?
In core set drafts, one of my favorite things to do is steal a guy temporarily, attack with it, and then feed it to a sac-outlet. Perhaps Chuck and Brion would be up to the task of not giving stuff back.

I never did see your answer to my question about what kind of budget you're working with, so I'll ask again. What's you're budget like?
My budget atm is not that huge, i think it's about 200ish dollars if i converted the money correctly, really it's more of how much i want to spend, but i'd say about 200 or so. I've already made an order for most of the stuff that i feel that i will definetly play. I got shocks from other decks, so no biggie there.
EDIT: Argh, trying to figure out how this forum works. Yeah it's messy but i hope you understand what i mean.
I take it from your answer that you're not in North America.
Ok, so does that tribal rule exclude creatures with Changeling? This could matter because it would open up a good deal of cheaper creatures.
I'm also quite curious about Adaptive Automaton. It doesn't have Giant on it's type-line, but does gain the type while in play (only under a Mindslaver effect would you choose anything else).
Assuming a "No" to above, I would make sure the manafact count is relatively high (say 6-8) in order to consistently accelerate you to your top end. Obviously, the lower the CMC the better. Also, Ancient Tomb and anything similar would probably go far to helping you out as well, though Ancient Tombs are difficult to find and rather pricey.
Consider cutting Thran Dynamo since it's nearly as much mana as your lower end giants. However, a case could be made for keeping it as it gets you to 8 mana pretty quick.
On a $200 budget, you're clearly not going to be using ABU Duals or Fetch lands. So keeping that in mind, here's a few suggestions.
Some dorks you should think about: Bloodfray Giant - Cheap and efficient, the no blocking part is optional. Armory Guard - I don't normally like this guy, but he's got a good deal of butt and he's about as cheap as giants normally get. He should be able to hold out long enough to get some more boots on the ground.
Some goodies you might like: Shared Animosity - depending on your typical attacker count, this could be either really nasty, or completely lackluster. Door of Destinies - Pick a tribe (gee, I wonder wut you'll name) and watch it grow. Konda's Banner - A dead card if you don't have your general or one of your other legends (I believe you have 1 more). Coat of Arms - Probably not the best option for you since your creature count is liable to lean towards the low side. Hinder - Finger someone's general and watch them cry Spell Crumple - ditto Chaos Warp - a good compliment to Oblation.
Here's a few lands which might help you out: Temple of Enlightenment - Why not complete the trio? Reflecting Pool - Kinda pricey, but there are only two situations where it wouldn't do anything: Right after a resolved Armageddon, and when you shouldn't have kept the hand anyway. Almost every other situation will see it being very helpful. Cavern of Souls - Expensive, but oh so juicy in tribal decks. Let's you flip the bird at counters on your dudes. City of Brass - The downside should be negligible in EDH. Plus you have a couple of ways to gain the life back.

We're not gonna play with changelings, unless that tribe really need them, then ofc we'll make an exception. I've seen tribal decks before, and alot of them uses the best changelings, it gets boring seeing the same ones.
We're playing around with the rules atm, 90% or so must be tribe, and maybe have 1 off tribe creature or so.
I've picked Iroas, God of Victory as my exception, he seems sick in my deck.
Planeswalkers, we're iffy about them, but i don't think they matter much.
Thran Dynamo can be rough on the mana i agree. Maybe switch it for Worn Powerstone ? It seems perfect to me, so i don't have to care about Mana Vaults oneshotness/drawback.
Shared Animosity - Agree with you here, i don't think my deck will be swinging with alot of creatures really.
Door of Destinies - I think this could work. I don't think i can put as many counters on it as other tribes can, still im gonna think about it.
Konda's Banner - Yeah, i believe this card does not work well with this deck.
Coat of Arms - Actually, we haven't played any games yet, but i do think there are other ppl that plays this, and im gonna take advantage of it.
Hinder - Finger These are nice, but i always play them in other decks. This time, i only have Arcane Denial as a suprise hardcounter.
Spell Crumple - ditto
Chaos Warp - yeah, i don't know about this one. Its good, im gonna think about it.
So our lgs EDH group will sometime in a near future start with something called "Tribal Monday".

Who needs Colours?
My most played EDH deck:
X Kozilek, the Great Distortion
UBR Nekusar, the Mindrazer
Blind-Spot Giant
He allows you to bring your mana curve down a bit without having to worry about the draw back.
Borderland Behemoth
He gets +4/+4 for every giant you control, this allows you to bring power fire power to the board more easily and he tramples.
Stinkdrinker Daredevil
A three casting cost goblin that reduces the mana cost of all giants by 2, generally this is a fairly simple trade off.
Shapeshearer
This is a cheap two casting cost giant that can become a copy of basically anything like any of your more useful giants to be able to attack.
Taurean Maulder
It's a changeling, so you have a giant that adds power. This changeling combos with other units such your Sun Titan to come back from the grave, and still be able to grow with other players slinging spells. There's really no reason not to play this guy in a tribal deck that uses red.
Cut:
Callous Giant, the damage prevention is weak and doesn't offer up.
Stoneshock Giant, the extra monstrosity doesn't add up to be great since the activated ability only works once. Borderland Behemoth is just a larger beatstick.

Kicked Rite of Replication would be extra huge with certain giants.
Your guys could ignore Powerstone Minefield, but other tribes cannot.
Flying tribes, like Vampires, would spell your doom. Levitation? Chaosphere?
An-Zerrin Ruins, Call to the Kindred, Circle of Solace, Distant Melody, and Faces of the Past (alongside removal, naturally) could all prove extra potent in tribal games.
Cheers!

Holy crap, An-Zerrin Ruins! Such meta game when it comes to tribal decks beating eachother :).
I can't believe i missed Chaosphere.
Call to the Kindred is, really cool, but it just directs all removal towards that giant. Im remaking the decklist, i'll post an update when im done.

Adaptive Automaton - A lord for the tribe of your choice, put him in if they'll let you. He gains the appropriate creature type when put into play normally.
Any other low CMC changelings in your colors.
Concerns:
Countryside Crusher - powerful, but risky.
I'm generally against Cumulative Upkeeps, so this guy is probably an easy cut
Jötun Owl Keeper - cute, but hardly necessary.

I've updated the list : ).
I've cut the Jötun bros, they kinda suck. Maybe i should cut War Tax for Urza's Incubator. Aggravated Assault is gold!
(im still figuring out how this site works :P)
Who needs Colours?
My most played EDH deck:
X Kozilek, the Great Distortion
UBR Nekusar, the Mindrazer
The high cmc of many cards makes me think that Kaboom! and/or Riddle of Lightning might be considered.
The lack of card draw frightens me.
Cheers!
Krichaiushii on PucaTrade.
Maybe Recurring Insight? Seems too expensive tho.
EDIT:
What do you guys think, cutting Gratuitous Violence for Dictate of the Twin Gods? It could be cool in combat, messing with other ppls battles etc.

Well there are a few things we can do about that. Here's a laundry list of decent and mostly budget friendly draw options in appropriate colors.
Rhystic Study
Jace, Architect of Thought
Tower of Fortunes
Infiltration Lens
Honden of Seeing Winds
Bident of Thassa
Coastal Piracy
Seriously consider adding these:
Sunforger - This is one of the single most abusive cards available in your colors. It can do almost anything you can think of if you put the right cards in your list. You'll need to develop a package for it though.
Mistveil Plains - Support card for above, allows you to reload spells for future re-use.
You should cut:
Skaab Goliath - You're not liable to have enough guys in the bin early enough for this guy to be much good.

Im thinking this:
- Skaab Goliath
- Benthic Giant
- Favor of the Mighty
+ Rhystic Study
+ Fact or Fiction
+ Bident of Thassa
^I was thinking, that i think my creatures will atleast be a little bigger than my opponents most of the time. i can bait then with
the bident to hit either me or whoever, and lose all their creatures, getting tapped out. It seems great when i think of it those scenarios.
Windfall?
Braingeyser?
or maybe Balance of Power

But i think we've bent the rules abit, so im playing a God in mine, Iroas, God of Victory.

Some dorks you should think about:
Bloodfray Giant - Cheap and efficient, the no blocking part is optional.
Armory Guard - I don't normally like this guy, but he's got a good deal of butt and he's about as cheap as giants normally get. He should be able to hold out long enough to get some more boots on the ground.
Some goodies you might like:
Shared Animosity - depending on your typical attacker count, this could be either really nasty, or completely lackluster.
Hinder - Finger someone's general and watch them cry
Spell Crumple - ditto
Chaos Warp - a good compliment to Oblation.
Here's a few lands which might help you out:
Temple of Enlightenment - Why not complete the trio?
Reflecting Pool - Kinda pricey, but there are only two situations where it wouldn't do anything: Right after a resolved Armageddon, and when you shouldn't have kept the hand anyway. Almost every other situation will see it being very helpful.
Cavern of Souls - Expensive, but oh so juicy in tribal decks. Let's you flip the bird at counters on your dudes.
City of Brass - The downside should be negligible in EDH. Plus you have a couple of ways to gain the life back.
What exactly is Vesuva meant to copy?

We're not gonna play with changelings, unless that tribe really need them, then ofc we'll make an exception. I've seen tribal decks before, and alot of them uses the best changelings, it gets boring seeing the same ones.
We're playing around with the rules atm, 90% or so must be tribe, and maybe have 1 off tribe creature or so.
I've picked Iroas, God of Victory as my exception, he seems sick in my deck.
Planeswalkers, we're iffy about them, but i don't think they matter much.
I actually got Ancient Tomb , Reflecting Pool, Cavern of Souls in other decks. i can proxy some of them.
Bloodfray Giant- I want to take out Blind-Spot Giant for this one, he seems nice.
Armory Guard - I think this would actually take Bearer of the Heavens slot, but i got a foil one so.
I don't know if i can get the filterlands, but im gonna try, If i can just sell my Emrakul and kozilek i would have a bit of money in my pocket.
Decklist is updated
Cards i cut and replaced with
Vesuva - Ancient Tomb
Thran Dynamo - Worn Powerstone
Nimbus Maze - Temple of Enlightment
1 Mountain - Reflecting Pool
1 Plains - Cavern of souls
