So I decided it was time for me to build a 5 color deck, mainly because I wanted to use Maelstrom Nexus, Conflux and other such sweet cards that can only be used in a penta-colored deck.
I then needed a theme/game plan for my deck. 5 color goodstuff seemed appealing, since I could run the best cards of each color, but I decided against it since I would want to run so much and there’s only 99 slots, making decision-making tough. Tribal was another idea, but I already made a Sedris Zombie tribal deck, so I wanted a different strategy.
With the help of Google, I found a strategy that seemed sweet and really was at its best in 5 color: Planeswalkers.
The next question was what commander to use. 5 color lends itself to having some pretty interesting commanders, to say the least. I eventually narrowed it down to Progenitus and Sliver Queen. Progenitus is sweet because he’s a pretty resilient, unblockable 3 (or 2 if buffed by just +1/+1) turn clock. Sliver Queen creates an army of blockers for the Planeswalkers and is also a 3 turn clock. Until I get my hands on a Sliver Queen, I’m going to use Progenitus. Once I have both, I’ll just interchange them.
I have a very similar deck and its a blast to play.
I turned mine into a more controlling type with around 15 counterspells and less durdling PW (ajani goldmane, Ashiok for example, even Kiora is borderline unplayable)
A PW really has to do something significant immediately or can ult right away with Doubling season to be played. Especially in a multiplayer game where they will be targeted even more. Obviously if your meta is full of wraths, you can live without early defences. Otherwise id suggest Ghostly prison, Propaganda, Ensnaring bridge, etc.
A few things to consider : Decree of annihilation, while expensive, quite often wins the game on the spot if you have but one PW that can win the game on his own (karn, Bolas, Vraska, Jace Architect, Any elspeth, Venser and Tamiyo to a point, Any Sorin)
Jokulhaups does almost the same, Nevynryal disk is another option.
A little card i run now in any decks that can : Rakdos charm. This will win games here and there, hoses GY based decks, etc
Cards like Ghostly prison don't work if they're attacking the planeswalkers and not you

Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
Also yeah, wow, good call on Ensnaring Bridge. In a game last night I found myself with 1 card in hand a good amount of the time and Bridge would have kept my walkers alive.
I cut Fist because it was one of those cards I put in just because you can only run it in 5 color. Sure you have some sweet moments where you cast Omniscience for WUBRG, but most of the time it's underwhelming.
As for the land destruction like Obliterate and the like, it's frowned upon with most people in my playgroups, though I do agree it's awesome with the Planeswalkers. I'll keep them on the bench for when I play against people who don't mind them.

I need an Ajani, Mentor of Heroes, for sure. And Humility seems awesome too. I'll have to look for them.
Thanks for the feedback!
