Zedruu the Greathearted was my favorite commander the second I saw her I knew I wanted to build an EDH deck for her. Due to having no friends who were interested in playing EDH I put this project on hold until now. This is the deck list I've come up with.
I will be happy to explain the presence of any cards to anyone wondering why I included something so feel free to ask.
I finally cut the deck down to 100 cards and despite losing some good cards, I'm happy with the decklist. I am open to any suggestions for inclusions in the deck but PLEASE include suggestions for what to take out in its place and provide reasoning.
Interesting decklist. Some suggestions though. I really like playing Zedruu, and from my experience i've come to realize that you have to either make it donate all, or donate a few and keep yourself alive with card advantage. I suggest taking Sigil of Empty Throne out, though i really love it, and put Luminarch Ascention in it. Also, try getting W R and U Hondens, that way you will have card advantage whether you play your general or not, also, Clout of Dominus is an awesome card with this deck. Sol Ring and Mana Crypt will help you more with your mana then just lands.Oh, and don't forget Cyclonic Rift cause it is just awesome and also Puca's Mischief. Take the Vows out since it just take your space in the deck, along with the witch.
I like the idea of Luminarch Ascention so I guess I will swap them. I was sort of on the fence about the vows anyway so I guess I can take them out. I like the witch but she can probably be cut as you said. In play testing I never really had mana problems so I don't think I'll add to the price tag for Sol Ring and Mana Crypt. The Hondens seem fun and fit in with the underlying enchantments theme so I'll add them. Thanks for the feedback I will update my list when I get the time.
I had an opportunity to Aquire a copy of Moat. Should I add it? I think It would help my "Pillow Fort" and my Storm Herd tokens and assorted dragons would still be able to attack.

Why would I remove the herd??? It can produce 40+ 2/2 fliers that can attack with moat in play vs the beaters you named who can't. I should include the tutors but they are $12 each and I am already breaking the budget so they might make it in later but not now. I agree death by dragons could blow up in my face so I'll take it out.

I've always had a problem with Steel Golem. It can just be run into big guys. I know its a little expensive but its a great donation target Exclusion Ritual. You may want to swap Unwilling Recruit with Dominate. You loose the +X damage with maintaining control of the creature. Spine of Ish Sah is also a great donate target too.
I think I'll try words of war, thanks for the idea. Does anybody have a suggestion for what I can take out of the deck? I still have too many cards in it.

I don't think that Dominate is a good replacement for Unwilling Recruit for the sole reason that if I need to I can pay 3 to gain control of a creature with unwilling recruit but dominate would often cost 6+ mana to steal anything worth while.
