This deck started out as a straightforward Kaliaa build, but eventually turned into a Punisher deck. The Kaalia deck was too hit-or-miss and I wanted to try something different. The goal of this deck is to put some pain enchantments into play and then set the world on fire! Creatures will be destroyed, lands will be wasted and life will seep from our oponnents' many wounds. Don't be afraid to be regarded as the archenemy after a while though...
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight is a beatstick, a damage doubler, and protection all in one card. 7 mana's a bit high, but what can you do when you have that many effects on a card. Is also one-sided, unlike Furnace of Rath, but easier to destroy. She's also particularly strong with Pyrohemia and Pestilence.
Burning Earth can be a second Manabarbs depending on how many nonbasic lands your opponents use.
Thanks for the suggestions TerminusEdge and Ixrixis!
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight: I already have a high average CMC, but I have one lying around and it does seem a good fit for his deck as well. I might try her if the Sentinel isn't working out..
Burning Earth: it costs more than Manabarbs and generally <50% of my opponent's lands are nonbasics.
Bloodchief Ascension: I ran/run this card in some decks, and I could use it here, but it generally gets removed before it ca turn active. That does mean it has a high threat level for a 1 CMC card.
Polluted Bonds: It's one of those enchantments that I've really thought about including (along with Exquisite Blood and []Sanguine Bond[/c]), and I would if it wasn't CMC 5. I think the pain ecnhantments I included right now deal a bit more damage, so I will stick with them for now, but if I tend to lose to much life I will contemplate including this card.
Vindicate over Mortify: I'm on the fence about this one. Instant speed is pretty important here, I think. In addition, I don't have a Vindicate lying around so it would cost me quite a bit of cash...
You're totally right about Warstorm Surge! I should remove it for one of your suggestions (Gisela or Bloodchief Asc), or maybe Citadel of Pain?
I run an Oros list as well. A few of my cards overlap with yours, but I went with a slightly different theme. I'm wondering though why you are not running Armageddon? It's efficient land destruction. Repercussion can also be very good with Oros. In addition I've personally also gotten good mileage out of the cards Tawnos's Coffin and Sudden Spoiling. The coffin can save a creature from mass destruction, can take out a threat or just tap something down. It also lets you re-use any ETB effects you might have. The spoiling reduces creatures to harmless 0/2s as a defensive measure, or within Oros burn range as an offensive maneuver. It has always been useful when drawn.
I'm atill looking for a Boros Charm, it's definitely going in once I aqcuire it. I have an Armageddon, but I chose the more expensive LD spells because they can also clear the board of any creatures. Because I don't run many blockers and only a few deterrents, just blowing up the board will often not work I think. Sudden apoiling is a card I run in another deck, but I can play it here as well: which card would you remove for it?
I am not sure about Tawnos Coffin. It seems a bit cluncky and I don't run that many creatures myself while my opponens run a fair share of ETB dudes...

Burning Earth can be a second Manabarbs depending on how many nonbasic lands your opponents use.
Bloodchief Ascension seems like it would become active rather easily in here.
Polluted Bonds lets you drain life when other people play lands.
That's all I've got for ideas at the moment.
