I am just getting into commander, and back in the day (revised days) I used to play a lot of mono-blue and with Theros bringing some cool gods, I thought I would make a Thassa deck with lots of sea monsters. So this deck may be very bad, but this is my first draft. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Oh, this will likely be played in 1v1 and 3-player games.
I went with Thassa as a general because in a mono blue deck, she is really solid. 5/5 Unblockable general seems like a good thing to me. The scry is handy, but making your monsters unblockable also seems like a good thing to do. Since a good number of the monsters have island walk, I have included a few creatures/enchants to make lands into islands.
A lot of my choices or going off of instinct here. Triassic Egg seems good as well considering I have lots of large creatures and it can bring creatures from the graveyard back. Voidmage Apprentice is a new card I found that seems interesting and could be a constant nuisance to opponents. I wish I had some tutors of some such, but I couldn't think/find any in mono-blue. Thanks.
The mind-scupltor is out of my price range, so he is a no go, but little Jace can be done. I guess I was trying to make sure that opponents have an island with the dreamthrush and spreading seas. I still like spreading seas as it can function like a poor-mans land destruction and you can draw a card, which isn't bad. ButSerpent of the Endless Sea has been a pretty dead card to me. I put Dandan in because it gets 2 devotion, can swing for 4 pretty fast (assuming they have an island), but it should probably go for more ramp.
I have mixed feeling about Grozoth. He is a damn good wall, and can tutor me an inkwell, but he can also swing for 4 mana, which isn't always horrible. But if I have to get rid of some creatures I will. I will post tweaks of the deck as I make them. Thanks all!

In stead of control magic have you though about treachery? and a personal favorite great whaleI love the Idea btw!
Man treachery is expensive for what it does. Great whale is nice, but I am not sure about it. 7cmc for a 5/5 is a bit high, but it is essentially free to cast.

Both are free to play, that is awesome! take something then have the mana open to cast something else, it's pretty good!
Unless it gets countered
I am also going to add in Deep-Sea Kraken. It is a great early play, and makes people think before playing pointless spells. Just need to get the deck sleeved up and do some testing.

I'm noticing you have a lot of draw in this deck. Packing a Reliquary Tower, and maybe Venser's Journal would be a good decision. I was also going to recommend Deep-Sea Kraken before I saw your above comment, I've used it to great effect before. It's just fantastic for multiplayer. Stolen Identity might be a good budget card to throw in too, you'll have big fatties that Thassa can make unblockable, it's an ideal situation to use and abuse the Cipher mechanic.

Mystical Tutor
You may also want to think about Jace Beleren and/or Jace, the Mind Sculptor.
Grozoth Doesn't seem like it does enough.
Mind Spring is strictly better than Braingeyser.
No Caged Sun?
dreamthrush, dandan, spreading seas, serpent of the endless sea; seems like a package that isn't going to perform well.
Staff of Nin is pretty good.
Whelming wave might be worth a shot.
Tamiyo, the moon sage should definitely be in, the emblem is great and she offers protection.
syncopate is definitely not good, hinder and spell crumple are far superior counters in EDH.
Also, Force of Will.
That's all the suggestions I have for now.
Whelming Wave has to added, that's for sure.
Edit: Have you considered Master of Waves or Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx?

Thanks. The above list is basically what I had on hand with a few additional pickups. I totally forgot about Nykthos, but that would fit well.

PS, virtual high five for being from Cleveland.
Another oft-overlooked ramp card is Dreamscape Artist. To speed things along, there's always Terrain Generator. If you're looking to mess with other players and make your Islandwalkers useful, Quicksilver Fountain is a decent option. What else... can you afford Vedalken Shackles?
