A Tiny Bit of History
I've had a lot of trouble deciding on how I wanted to build my Bant EDH deck, even though Bant is one of my favorite color combinations. I initially had a Rafiq of the Many multiplayer deck that revolved around +1/+1 counters (I was excited for Gatecrash Simic shenanigans). That then turned into an optimized 1v1 build, which I found too linear and too threatening in multiplayer to not be shut down immediately. With the release of the new precons, I tried both Derevi, Empyrial Tacticianand Roon of the Hidden Realm. With Derevi, I had a very scary and effective stax build running Winter Orb and friends. I found this unenjoyable to pilot and to play against. Roon was just too slow and was removed early game. That's when I tried Rubinia.
Some Things About Rubinia

Rubinia is a commander that synergizes with a bounce subtheme but doesn't rely on it, or even contribute to it.

If you drop her when your opponents have an empty field, she will deter plays and slow down the game enough for you to get your engines in play.

With protection, she can be devastating for your opponents. However, without it, she will be removed. That's why it's ideal to build a deck that functions without her.
Silly Deck Tech(In Testing) Flash: This card is really great for our high curve, and allows you to power out powerful ETBs early game, as well as giving you an instant speed creature to keep in the late game. Stolen Identity: Reuse our ETB triggers as well as stealing others. Awesome. Proteus Staff: Steal an opposing creature with Rubinia and use it to pull your own out of your library. It's a little cost intensive, but pretty versatile in this build. Portcullis: Use this to both stall the board and get multiple ETB activations when it leaves play. Plus, with Rubinia out, you can steal the few creatures on the board. Tawnos' Coffin: Reusing ETBs, removal, and shenanigans with Gilded Drake. I love shenanigans with Gilded Drake. Parallax Wave: Another ETB reuser that doubles as removal in sticky situations. Also, you can bounce it with Venser, the Sojourner to reset the counters and continue to use it.

I really like the deck list. I built something similar to this deck and there are few cards I can recommend. First off is Deadeye Navigator. It really synergizes with the deck and makes a nice board presence. The second is Venser, Shaper Savant. With most creatures with ETB effects, this one is really nice as it creates a warm body for blocking but also can act as a counter spell and bounce engine with any of your flicker effects. I really like the deck, and I hope these help a bit. Keep it up
Another thought I had is possibly replacing Tawnos's Coffin with Flickerform. It lets you dodge removal as well as creates a nice flicker engine
